I have just had an Independent candidates election leaflet pushed through the door.
It gives details of three Independent candidates - John Petherick, Linda Petherick and Howard Almond.
Thing is the leaflet just talks of the local elections. I don't know if they are talking town or Teignbridge or both.
And if they are Independent candidates why are three of them on the one leaflet?
And what about the other two Independent candidates who are standing in my ward (Central) for election to the town council? Why haven't they been included?

Presumably because they're the only Independents standing for the district council in Dawlish Central and North East ward.
Well this is what I thought it was - has it changed?

Central ward has 6 seats. There are 10 candidates. 5 Conservative, 5 Independent.
North East ward has 4 seats. There are 5 candidates. 2 x Conservative, 2 x Independent, 1 x Lib Dem
South West ward has 6 seats. There are 7 candidates. 5 x Conservative, 1 x Independent, 1x Lib Dem
We are independent candidates not wishing to inundate people with too many leaflets. Just trying to be efficient. There are other independent candidates across the three wards of course.
I just see it as three Independents in one ward trying to combine forces against the other party candidates. Makes sense to me.
Just seeking clarification Dorian as the three names that are on the leaflet are not the same as the three names of the Independent candidates standing for election for Teignbridge District Council in Dawlish Central and North East ward. Two are the same yes - but not the third.
As I said - I was slightly confused but now I have had a response from HA I understand. All three of the candidates in the leaflet are standing for election to the town council.
