What doesn't make sense? That's it dangerous there irrespective of the road markings? I can see that and have been overtaken by numerous cars who can't wait for the bus to pull out and are annoyed at me for not overtaking. It was never a problem before and I've never seen a bus unable to pull out. You can paint what you like on the road, it changes nothing.

@Margaret Swift - i think people are having a discussion and giving their opinions.  i've heard it all now using oap as a derogatory term.  no wonder people don't like commenting on these discussion boards.

That should be manageable.  Park and ride would probably work well for this.

thanks @Lynne , i knew you'd find it!  i'm particularly interested in the oak park villas/elm grove road restriction which could impact where parents park, although i'm sure they'll just ignore the restrictions! I've always wondered why DCC don't use the car park at the back for coaches to relieve the pressure along that road. Can you still walk from the back of the school out to the car park?

completely agree @leatash .  it's not just people parking on pavements but it's parking really badly so that emergency services can't get through.  we had an ambulance in the middle of the night attempt to reverse 3 times before it could get through a gap.  bin lorries struggle too.  we did have someone come and stick warning notices on some of the vehicles but nothing was ever followed up.  i ...

Not sure you can classify it as vindictive.  If I don't vote for a politician because of their policies it's not vindictive.  Perhaps campaigning to remove her might be vindictive but not deciding to sign the petition?

I wonder why Dawlish has this problem and (it appears) Teignmouth doesn't?  Is it because there's more things going on there and it's not a one off?  Teignmouth was packed and I saw not one Police Officer.
