Well done to Dawlish Hospital, really well organised for the vaccinations yesterday.

Governments don't run businesses either but they're still classifying people as key workers and providing tests - our company has been involved.
I walked through town yesterday about 3pm and it was quiet I thought. First time I've ventured that far. Everyone kept their distance. There's some very superior people tut tutting at people as if they're the only ones who can possibly understand all the consequences. We've had a few people at work with Covid19 and one death and are certainly not underestimating things. A lot of us also have ...
It needs to be made clear that anyone furloughed who does this work for whatever period of time won't (a) lose their furloughed money and (b) won't lose their job as this is what is being threatened at the moment.
They'll be on BBC Spotlight tonight at 6.45.
Has it actually gone downhill or is it the advent of social media and 24 hour news. I was a teenager when you moved down leatash and it definitely wasn't perfect then, just not as publicised.

I wait with interest if they catch the people to see if they're local. Chippy Chaps has also posted CCTV footage of people trying to break into their establishment, wondering if it's related as has Rock and Sole.
Not sure if you're referring to Gay's but despite being on the 'wrong side' of the brook they seem to be one of the shops in Dawlish that does really well. Often there's queues outside for their cream teas, pasties and (I understand) cheesy Steves! They must be doing something right!
Not everyone is going to agree, that's fine. If you're going to post you have to accept differing views. As soon as you swear at someone you've lost the argument on a discussion board. I don't like the views of some people on here and probably not the ones you're thinking of. Take a break from the site and appreciate that not everyone is a royalist and just because you aren't doesn't make you ...
I wouldn't have expected the country park car park surface to have deterorated quite so quickly.
Thought this might be useful for people.
thanks @Lynne . i see ironically that the best chance they have of bringing charges is for unnecessary suffering to an animal, which in this case would be the dog.
Someone was asking previously how this could be free to both provider and council. It details this in this report - Neil Blaney, Economy Manager, told the executive on Tuesday morning that it would work by the company who install the network and selling advertising space within an app that businesses can buy into. He said that revenue is generating from that and the future use of the ...
Great video, there's some fantastic talent in Dawlish!
Not as far as I'm aware Lynne. I think he may have been ill recently.
i have @leatash , it was a joke
What a lovely idea. Wish my kids were going enough, they'd have loved it. There's some great activities for kids. The leisure centre in particular runs some great sessions.
Nothing on the water fowl page. Probably the best place to ask.
Following Teignbridge District Councillor Humphrey Clemens’ public outburst at last week’s Town Council meeting, where I consider inappropriate language was used and untrue statements made, I am writing an open letter in response. In September 2014, I started a petition against the proposed compulsory purchase of Warren Farm by Teignbridge District Council. The land was wanted as ‘Suitable ...
The Devon Air Ambulance was called to Dawlish Beach this afternoon after a male suffered spinal injuries after falling 10ft from steps onto concrete below. Coastguard and the Devon Air Ambulance landed on the beach to assess the males injuries where he was then taken by land ambulance to hospital.
Yes and tipped to replace Jeremy Hunt.
Perhaps it's preferable for them to get a shock from the blue when their identity is nicked. Ok so they were taken aback but I can't understand why someone would do this. I shred everything with a micro shredder.
She'll be gone by next year so one less thing to worry about.
Opened today at 1pm. Great little convenience store, I wish them all the luck.
It might be more productive to report it. https://www.teignbridge.gov.uk/environmental-health-and-wellbeing/dogs/dog-fouling/report-witnessing-a-dog-fouling-incident/
Important to say he's been cleared. http://www.middevonadvertiser.co.uk/article.cfm?id=109352&headline=Man%20cleared%20of%20train%20grope%20charge§ionIs=news&searchyear=2017
Slightly disappointed. After reading the subject of this discussion I had hoped for there to be a skipping event at the car park. Nevermind.
Dawlish Museum has posted - Former Cafe Due To Be Demolished. The now derelict building near the viaduct known as 'The Pirates Chest' has been empty for some time now and is set to be demolished by Network rail. No official date has been given but it's thought it will be within the next month or so. Our first picture was taken on a summers day in 2015 and the second after the terrible storm ...
I did wonder if it was access for the park. Thanks for confirming Lynne.
DAWLISH Community College requires improvement, education inspectors have said. Ofsted visited the secondary school in December and reported that the overall effectiveness, the effectiveness of leadership and management, the quality of teaching, learning and assessment, personal development, behaviour and welfare and outcomes for pupils all require improvement. When inspectors last visited the ...
@ZIGGY i know, this lasted less than 24 hours. it's a really nasty one if a motorbike hits it. it's still reported on the pothole site, dcc really needs to pull it's collective finger out. i do hope the contractor doesn't charge twice for this shoddy work.
I thought the coach park was planned for the other side?

I do wonder what it will take for people to learn. I was behind a woman from Teignmouth to Kingsteignton roundabout blatantly texting the whole way!
i agree @Lynne . let's face it singular cyclists are unlikely to use this cycle path, it's more likely going to be families. you do wonder the thought process behind some of these decisions.

MAJOR expansion plans for a 'healthcare hub' for Dawlish and Teignmouth have been given the green light. Barton Surgery in Dawlish has been given permission to expand its site in Barton Terrace by Teignbridge Council planners. The plans for the four-storey surgery extension will provide more rooms, as well as training and meeting areas for staff. Read the full story .

A family say they finally have closure after a jury ruled a faulty cherry picker was to blame for an Exeter dad's death. The inquest into the death of Kenneth "Kenny" Leach, a painter and decorator from Exeter, was formally closed this morning after the jury returned a narrative verdict. The 49-year-old died at Derriford Hospital on December 14, 2014 - a day after he was crushed by a cherry ...
