I was just looking through the minutes of the last town council meeting held earlier this month and came across this from County Cllr Clatworthy Link Road – meeting taken place £4.2 to £4.9M likely to be awarded which needs to be taken up by 2022. The design is Feb 2019, construction in the summer with completion in the spring of 2020;
The highest price paid on the day was for Francis Towne’s View of Fingle Bridge, Drewsteignton, which sold for £8,500 over four times its lower estimate of £2,000 Two watercolour scenes by John Varley, which show views of Dawlish and Totnes, sold for £3,000 and £2,400 apiece, well over their £200 to £300 estimates. Perhaps the ex bastins premises should be converted into an indoor play centre? I suggest that on the basis that some seem to think that having an outdoor play area (ie playpark) on the lawn will draw in more punters who will then spend in the shops etc. So.........working on that hypothesis and given that it rains an awful lot in this country, it makes sense to me that an indoor playcentre (for ...
At last they have arrived to cut the grass along the Exeter Road. I think the blower is blowing the grass cuttings down the drains

@Diana Mond - i was merely using your own words. As to an important thread, yes it is important from the view point of the potential banning of dog's on The Lawn. From your post on this thread (11 June 2018 20:02) you seem happy to stop dog walker's from excercising their dogs on The Lawn, but seem unaware/ignorant to the fact that the potential for attacks on swans and other wildfowl along The ...
I never said I did or didn't attend, but generally, dead rock and roll stars have mobility problems.

So in 2019 we may very well have an airshow. Excellent.
The population of Syria is 46,000? Well I never! >People have legitimate concerns over the Teignbridge Local Plan. >Somehow the fault of immigrants.
How dare they be giving great publicity to Dawlish today! They don’t even pay road tax for crying out loud!!
Your off button to work...
Fire crews from Dawlish, Teignmouth and Torquay were mobilised to reports of a fire involving a BT telephone pole in the above location. On arrival, crews confirmed a fire caused by a lightning strike that had set fire to a telephone box. The lightning strike caused a domestic fuse board to trip and had internally burnt out two telephone line sockets. Crews used a thermal imaging camera to check ...

Well, it would appear that i was wrong about the black bin pick ups. Had an email from the council informing me that the next pick up is June 1st due to the bank holiday. Last pick up was May 17th next pick up June 1st. Upon checking the pickup calendar I was wrong, apologies.
Total Class. I think it does not help Dawlish to advertise that one of it's founding fathers is a deranged idiot.
Not everyone is going to agree, that's fine. If you're going to post you have to accept differing views. As soon as you swear at someone you've lost the argument on a discussion board. I don't like the views of some people on here and probably not the ones you're thinking of. Take a break from the site and appreciate that not everyone is a royalist and just because you aren't doesn't make you ...
Anyone interested in playing 5-a-side football on Sunday evening 27th May? Location Dawlish. It is a friendly, non competitive, middle aged team
Cool make it a glass tunnel so we can see all the fishes like at the sealife centres! Glass tunnel, glass roof on trains.......let's start the campaign here!
It's all just rhetoric and bravado, people have their opinions, you have yours, I have mine.....wonder why your trying to be a martyr to this poor website though. If I were you I would pick a better subject to be a martyr too, like why can't I kill a cat if it enters my land? Much more worthwhile lol, now where that potato gun! Ps I don't like potatoes either, the way they sneak up on ...

I wouldn't have expected the country park car park surface to have deterorated quite so quickly.
@burneside - i should have included an irony alert. @ZIGGY - thanks for providing the clarification for those that were unaware of the law. it’s also legal, obviously, to cycle on a shared use footpath.
I hope that the top flat has a watchtower...
Not quite the same view this house use to have. Link below on some of the houses for sale and prices... look a lot more 'detached' in the pics of the link. https://www.primelocation.com/for-sale/property/dawlish/southdowns-road/
As a dog owner myself, it frustrates the hell out of me when I see bagged-up dog poos just left around the place. Those bags are advertised as bio-degradable but that's a relative term: it takes around 7 years for them to break down. So if people can't be bothered to take the bag to the nearest dog bin then they're better off not bagging them at all, and if you're frightened of carrying a bit of ...
