Quite right Shytalk. And the video that accompanies the article shows that there’s actually still loads more sand on there than their used to be pre-scheme. Looks like the new groynes have done a good job and stood up to the ferocious conditions.

In the event of joining a shortish queue, leaving an appreciable gap might indeed make sense.  In a long queue, it would surely double or treble (maybe more?) the LENGTH of the tailback - perhaps through the town, or in the 'Morrison's' location, back to Newton Abbot?  OK, I've exagerated!

I had reason to go to Newcastle last week and did consider the train but at £191 return and a 13 hour journey each way with 4 changes i decided to drive i was there and back in 14 hours 22 mins.

A great idea they could be used in places like the corner of Brunswick Place outside Geralds they wouldnt affect anyone but those HGV's who use the wide footpath to park and do deliveries. I couldnt see them being used on every kerb but in certain places they would work well.

Judge Graham Cottle is a criminal himself. He was once the recorder of Exeter, he was removed from the Exeter circuit for wrong doings and found his way to the Plymouth circuit for a while. He is now back in Exeter but not as the recorder, but as a crooked judge. I have every symphathy with the mum who is against his actions.

The dredger "Mannin" had been picking up silt from Exmouth Marina and dumping it off Sprey Point in Teignmouth. Last weekend the beach at Teignmouth changed from red to black, causing deep concern.
