I have started this new topic as I think it deserves a place of it's own. It is showing me once again how LA's can lie with impunity and think they can get away with it. And that goes for smaller outfits such as a Town council. There is some knowledge of this from the topic, Playpark on the lawn. I started to investigate what was happening to Berry Head car park when someone cried for help ...
And I bet you a million dollars that it hasn't been TBC that has received a penny of the charges. TBC is in finacial difficulties, there is even talk of them cancelling their unitary authority status. There is also talk the DCC will not entertain TBC coming back into the fold with such a debt as that would mean the tax payers of DCC having to pick up the tab. So wouldn't you think that TBC would ...

A painting and decorating firm has been ordered to pay £130,000 for putting employees and members of the public at risk in a case triggered by the death of a worker in 2014. Mr Leach, a painter and decorator from Exeter, died in hospital from a cardiac arrest the day after the Bronto aerial platform he was working in toppled over. He was in the basket of the vehicle at the Railway Convalescent ...

The sewer should have been in place before the new builds were approved by the planning dep't. They say it was planned for 2025, but how many new houses will be using that 6 inch pipe by 2025. In my opinion, a greedy company like many others putting profit above customer satisfaction. God forbid if they charged milk prices for the water they supply and the crap we send them back. I'm sure ...
Agreed - because that is a bilateral trade agreement between the EU and Canada. But just because that is the situation between them doesn't mean to say that it will be same between the UK and the EU and the UK and other countries. Look here at what arch Brexiteer Jacob Rees Mogg has to say on the subject: (my emphasis in bold) "It is thought the Cabinet has had only one high-level ...

I was just looking through the minutes of the last town council meeting held earlier this month and came across this from County Cllr Clatworthy Link Road – meeting taken place £4.2 to £4.9M likely to be awarded which needs to be taken up by 2022. The design is Feb 2019, construction in the summer with completion in the spring of 2020;
The highest price paid on the day was for Francis Towne’s View of Fingle Bridge, Drewsteignton, which sold for £8,500 over four times its lower estimate of £2,000 Two watercolour scenes by John Varley, which show views of Dawlish and Totnes, sold for £3,000 and £2,400 apiece, well over their £200 to £300 estimates. Perhaps the ex bastins premises should be converted into an indoor play centre? I suggest that on the basis that some seem to think that having an outdoor play area (ie playpark) on the lawn will draw in more punters who will then spend in the shops etc. So.........working on that hypothesis and given that it rains an awful lot in this country, it makes sense to me that an indoor playcentre (for ...
At last they have arrived to cut the grass along the Exeter Road. I think the blower is blowing the grass cuttings down the drains

@Diana Mond - i was merely using your own words. As to an important thread, yes it is important from the view point of the potential banning of dog's on The Lawn. From your post on this thread (11 June 2018 20:02) you seem happy to stop dog walker's from excercising their dogs on The Lawn, but seem unaware/ignorant to the fact that the potential for attacks on swans and other wildfowl along ...

The population of Syria is 46,000? Well I never! >People have legitimate concerns over the Teignbridge Local Plan. >Somehow the fault of immigrants.
How dare they be giving great publicity to Dawlish today! They don’t even pay road tax for crying out loud!!

Well, it would appear that i was wrong about the black bin pick ups. Had an email from the council informing me that the next pick up is June 1st due to the bank holiday. Last pick up was May 17th next pick up June 1st. Upon checking the pickup calendar I was wrong, apologies.
Total Class. I think it does not help Dawlish to advertise that one of it's founding fathers is a deranged idiot.
Not everyone is going to agree, that's fine. If you're going to post you have to accept differing views. As soon as you swear at someone you've lost the argument on a discussion board. I don't like the views of some people on here and probably not the ones you're thinking of. Take a break from the site and appreciate that not everyone is a royalist and just because you aren't doesn't make you ...
