@HuwMatthews2 - suggest the site at Langdon where the 64 bed care home is supposed to be built. Why? Because I think a cathedral has more chance of being built there than any care home.

Been told that Dawlish town council pay for this service and intend continuing to do so.
Another short sighted idea from this council as it mentions more risk from fly tipping which will probably cost more to uplift than having thr rural skip. Perhaps the costs could be covered if they grow some and prosecute the travellers who leave rubbish with the tax payer picking up the bill. For clarity: there were changes to the planning regulations made by government which came into effect beginning of last month (1.9.20) There has also been a consultation on further changes to the planning system (number of houses deemed to be required by central government and not the number deemed to be required by each local authority please note) and how land should be zoned for ...
