@Gary Taylor - many thanks for the info.

@Daverc - me too, but knowing my luck the dog would most probably go for me as well.
Shame they couldn't find a British based firm to carry out the work rather than one based in the Netherlands. (before MV barks up - I am aware they have offices in the U.K.) Is the '50 year project' to just study the cliff areas between Dawlish and Teignmouth and the line between Newton Abott and Exeter? It seems a lot of time for such a project.
The cyclist art has now been vandalised again! The previous damage to his head was caught on cctv carried out by a couple of dickheads. Although the police have good descriptions I am yet to see a description of these mindless twits or even a few stills from the cctv in the local papers. It would have helped if the locals had been informed and could have kept a lookout.
Glad that the fields at Sandy Lane were not destroyed by this short sighted parking excercise, nice to see the greed of those involved thwarted the use of it by those visiting the event. Powderham had plenty of space, it was an event at their site and they have open their fileds to parking for previous events. It seems more madness than common sense and judgement run the local councils round ...
As I said in another post. I have waited up to half an hour or more trying to get through to 101 to advise police of certain situations. I think many that have given the police info in the past are sick and tired of paying to call 101 and rarely getting through.
Did the person who called the police about this call 101 and if so how long did they have to wait for it to be answered!
It's the same old BS that was spouted when many of the long term mental institutions were disbanded with the trumpets of change spouting 'care in the community'. Many patients were thrown out on the street and put in BnB's by the social services and what happened to those sites that were closed down! What it actually means is 1) freeing assets to sell off to developers, 2) pushing patients onto ...
People may be more inclined to call the police if it wasn't for a non emergency line that is not fit for purpose. To top it off they charge you for sitting on your phone for 25+ mins. Last time I called 101 about a disturbance I had to phone three times and each time was over 10 minutes with no answer. As the situation had got worse I felt I needed to phone 999 as their was an escalating ...
I'm surprised that there has only been 2 objections to this request for change of use to dwelling. It is a larger site than Mr Stone presenently has an appeal open on for land adjoining that has plans for 2 detached houses. I cannot see Mr Stone settling for 'A' dwelling on this rather more substanstial plot. I would assume 1) change of use to dwelling, 2) application for 2 dwellings or more! I ...
Saw this on Youtube today with the main criteria listed as 'highlights the need for new homes and jobs for local people' Yeh, belive that you'd believe anything.

No hard shoulders from what I can see, so the first time their is a conked out vehicle or large crash how will the emergency services get to it. The other side of the road I suppose! Poorly thought out for plans going back over half a century for traffic volumes that were never envisaged in the future. A little to late in my opinion.
I'm sure if TDC's planning dept had to endure bouts of sewage outside their offices on a regular basis it would be resolved very quickly. When I walk around the local area and see some of the nightmare buildings that TDC have allowed planning permission on. Which are either just ugly (in my opinion) or just standout as alien in the location they have been built. This is only the start of ...
In my opinion it is the league who needs to be fined not the swimming clubs. It was their actions that caused the issue in the first place not the swimming clubs. It would seem the League is salivating over the chance of making £2500 in fines for their own incompetence, that's my feeling.
I would bet it's a fair chance it will be a bookies because there is no need to change the use as it was a bank it comes under the same usage, The first, second and roof space were changed to 5 flats,I assume, after the 2012 planning application was granted on planning application 12/00537/ful.
@1263 - i agree with you on getting rid of the comissioners, a completely useless excercise in employing a watchdog to oversee the police. paid an extorniate amount of money for being dead weight in a time when the government is screwing exvery penny out of the public services, whilst discussing spending £100 billion on major projects, plus the hs2 fiasco. I would like to see a breakdown of the ...
Happened to be walking along the seawall at Teignmouth this a.m. and was surprised to see so many campervans along the road parallel to the seawall. I've seen quiet a few over the years, but never counted over 20 at one time. Must be some sort of campervan club visit.
@Lynne - i'll see what i can do.
How long do you need to be on this planet for to realise that politicians, in general, are out for what they can get? They don't push to be an mp for a minimum wage, no benefits, a pension worth nothing, no influence, no power, no ego boost. Money, influence, power, ego and a cream filling of self centeredness is what they are. At the end of the day it does not matter what party gets into power, ...
