Design and consultancy firm Arcadis has been appointed as principal contractor on a £1m project to study the railway line between Newton Abbot and Exeter.
Network Rail has appointed the firm to conduct ground investigation studies in the cliff areas between Dawlish and Teignmouth as part of the 50-year project.

Shame they couldn't find a British based firm to carry out the work rather than one based in the Netherlands. (before MV barks up - I am aware they have offices in the U.K.)
Is the '50 year project' to just study the cliff areas between Dawlish and Teignmouth and the line between Newton Abott and Exeter? It seems a lot of time for such a project.
