Should still be an alternative route away from the sea somewhere!
If he doesnt get to be Labour Leader again ...I bet he is after the job at EU,
Why the heck don't they just give up on the line by the sea! ...get building Dawlish Parkway other side of town...or build a tunnell between the town and sea.. do you want a blocked view of sea and get town protected?.. I don;t think the town is that bothered on a rail service really..
GWR didn't run when the line collapsed into the sea!
That has to be so sad!
Rail line had to be closed ..one day someone will dream up an idea of running a line from Plymouth - Okehampton- Exeter.
Build a wall call Trump!
Always thought a good ferry in high season going Exmouth - Dawlish - Torquay would do well..bring people to the town and offer a service to and from Exmouth/Torquay...
I think if Ed does not end up as PM..they will dump him and Tony Blair will be back!
This is worth watching if you missed the latest episode 'The Railway' the day the line reopened. http://www.channel5.com/shows/the-railway-first-great-western/episodes/network-renewed @ Howard re doiuble deck trains Found this series by Channel 4 in 1984 ...with a mention of double deck trains, how they were built in late 40s but did not last. Some good history on trains, Nationalisation ...
Did a child write that? ...further down re Kingsbridge 'we got nothing' Newton 'Abbout' lol Just spotted that, cant be bothered to read it all. Still can't work out why Dawlish has always been a 'top secret' events Carnival.
Speed restriction this morning due to the storm...so delays again. This is all becoming a bit annoying for people who want to travel by train! https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=821691497896350&fref=nf
Dawlish and Torbay could really benefit in many ways if they go for it. Currently the Paignton - Exmouth local train off peak calls every hoiur at Dawlish at 50 min pass the hour. If the line was put in place a loop service could mean, say, leave Plymouth on the half hour, this would mean trains would reach Dawlish at 20 mins pass the hour, and so with the Paignton line provide a half hourly ...
Under mine there is no option..nothing there, all the othere have the agree etc. Posts within the last two or three days they can be removed ..here anyway.
Just seen the following post on the BBC Facebook page... >>>>> An incident occurred in a supermarket recently, when the following was witnessed: A Muslim woman dressed in a Burkha (A black gown & face mask) was standing with her shopping in a queue at the checkout. When it was her turn to be served, and as she re ached the cashier, she made a loud remark about the English Flag lapel pin, ...
I like the B it gets from Dawlish to St Thomas in 40 minutes. The 11 is good for anyone wanting to go to a evening show in Torquay...
Brazilnut has, gone very quiet ..maybe been called up to help Ed in Westminster.
You can really form an opinion by the word content ..'f this and that'. I think Paignton may not be far enough!
He would do better ... kicking a ball around lol.
Maybe its time to end the Dawlish Carnival once and for all ..it seems to cause people a lot of stress with finance and finding people to organise it.
I just had chips at Rock n Sole about a month ago, would describe them as 'soapy' chips if you know what I mean. Previous owners of Rock n Sole used to have a good reputation for food and service...you need to be good located there. Not been to Model Cafe for at least 5 years lol...used to be grumpy staff as they had the main business. I hate it when as a customer you are a bother ...seems the ...
Shame you cant sit on the beach in peace with the sound of the waves....booming music it has to be like it or not...everyone on their mobiles lol
Remember 'Mary Queen of the High Street'.. and the chance of her coming to Dawlish to sort it out. Thought it was interesting last night on Channel 4, she tried to get Margate going...well from the outset they didnt want her help! ..but its a happy ending, If you didnst see it here it is, its a good prog. Wonder if the Strand was adapted in the 'same' way ...what would happen,.. ...
Agree Fred. Pink is acceptable in Suffolk ..in fact it is expected... so why not in Devon?. http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/SUFFOLK/2008-07/1217348400
Good ..you are far to serious!
Stagecoach are well aware of the movement of passengers and as DJ says, I know too that many many journeys go down the Warren and dont set down or pick anyone up. Just high summer its busy but the new services will still cater a service. Plus you will have without a change a direct bus to and from Torquay. I would have thought as you mention the elderly, they surely will find travel direct to the ...
Means... the Pig Factory has allowed a stray to something new to moan about lol
Webmaster ..thank you., oh yes I remember now there used to be a Council section.

Oh yes I guess Punch is a bit of a bully. The ice cream sponsored by ice cream firms and it would remind people to buy one!
I see on their website they claim ...'The Lansdowne is the bestest pub in Dawlish, if not the world' Lol
I have never had a car and only live where services are good. Was looking at Service 2 bus timetable ..wonder how many know the last bus from Newton is at Midnight arrives in Dawlish 0035 everyday!
Results ..looks like everyone wants the days of Gordon Brown back!!!.. hmm.
Dawlish is a pretty town with the sea, lawn, brook and ducks. It's the people that makes any place.. I for one am glad I got out! ....those who dislike the place so much as you see on here should too!
Good idea.. but dont think people realise what it costs to stock a shop up ..then the risk that people will not support. It normally takes 3 years to get known and start to profit, let alone be accepted!
NiteRider The £2.00 NiteRider ticket can be purchased by anyone using Stagecoach South West services and travelling after 7pm until end of service. It is valid for unlimited travel within the times specified on all of South West buses.
Glad people are finding out about the Devon card....i've never had a car and have saved a fortune. Last week I got a single advance online ticket from Exeter to Brighton for £6.95.. journey took 4 hrs 12 mins..wonder how much that would that cost by car, 200 miles. I have no idea.
