Today's Sunday Telegraph's cartoon has a tourist guide telling sightseers in London: "You can see Changing of the Guard in the morning, and Changing of the PM most afternoons."

The building of the bridge was given planning permission a couple of months back in August. Work has to start within 3 years. Wonder if it will be in place by 2025?

No idea. BUT...... the more GPs that go private then logically the fewer there will be working in the NHS = longer waiting times to see a NHS GP.  If longer times to see a NHS GP (and/or get that NHS hospital appointment/operation) the greater the argument becomes that the NHS is, by default, denying health care to its patients. Not the NHS fault btw.

Walking in the direction of Sainsbury's from the junction of Secmaton Rise and Secmaton Lane there is a large nest of what looks like wasps on the left bank opposite a house called Highlands?/Highfield? I believe the land adjacent to the Lanherne sheltered housing scheme located on Exeter Road and which used to be allotments (but which is now very wildly overgrown) is a site that TDC has its eyes on for future  council housing development. What age group target, what type of accommodation, how much etc  I do not know.

Planning application approved. (Btw - this bit of land was also submitted to TDC as a possible site for new housing. Outcome of the Local Plan consultation showing what land has been selected for development and what not is scheduled to be made public Jan 2023).

According to a sign on the site the care home is to be called Claremont Manor and will offer luxury care accommodation. I wonder how much that will cost per week?
