I was in a meeting last December when SW water claimed the sewage problem was due to builders dropping debris into the system and they would sort it out. It appears that 10 months on they are still using the same lame excuse for their over-burdened systems which they do not want to spend any more money on!
Do we even have CCTV? Are we still paying for CCTV that isn't providing a service at all? I honestly do not know where we have got to with CCTV in Dawlish, it all seemed to fade into the background during the last administration.
Long live elvis! Thanks for the best post in years. X
Yes! Done about half of it but having to work for a living gets in the way just a bit!
Those discussions will be subject to FOI so let's do it!
Well leatash, that is your kids but that does not mean it is the same for every family that comes to Dawlish on holiday or for every family resident in Dawlish, so I don't find it strange at all. Just because the fair used to be separated from the carnival doesn't mean it should be now. No one on this forum has so far given a valid reason for separating the fair from the carnival or ...
The reality is that the fair attracts visitors to the town as does the carnival and the airshow. Traders and residents want the visitors so the town remains viable so..........a bit of churned up grass is a small price to pay in relation to the visitor numbers attending the various events. As a child visiting Dawlish on holiday, I was thrilled if my parents managed to book our holiday to coincide ...
Well that is a definite possibility, just need the evidence to prove it!
Well if that is the case Lynne then it was very badly handled by DTC working group and the chair of F&GP who led on this project. They let the people and visitors of Dawlish and Dawlish Warren down badly. I will do my research over the weekend and get back to you.
Will do Lynne. I suspect though that it was all inference rather than an explicit documented comment. But even if it was only an implied intention it should have been honoured. I think it is important to know at what precise point TDC took the decision to decommission the toilets, who knew and what did they do about it?
