Heard a rumour yesterday that the Boathouse wasa raided recently, being open and serving drinks.

Any truth in it ?

I do believe that is so, about two weeks ago.

Heard this weekend that 3 other pubs in Dawlish have been bypassing the recent regulations, one of which got caught twice....

Why weren't they closed down ?

The one caught twice got all the beer taken away

Why all the secrecy about which pubs have contravened rules, Boathouse has been named but none others? Surely if we knew who has been reckless it would enable us to make better choices if we were to visit any local hostelry and ensure our custom for those who have given a damn!

I'd happily name them, but for one thing - definite knowledge.

What would happen if I named them and it turned out that I'd been fed malicious gossip?

We don't have that many pubs in Dawlish! I walk past four of them regularly and none have been obviously open, well, three of the four definitely not open!! I must admit some suspicious activity at one of them! 

On a not unrelated issue - anyone know which pubs in Dawlish and the Warren plan on opening/not opening on Sat.

The only thing I know is that the Smugglers isn't opening till Wednesday.

Margaret - of course they weren't obviously open!  They have back entrances though, and one of them covered the windows in newspapers.

Duckileaks, the ones I'm talking about probably do have back doors but to get to them you have to go from the front. I know for sure that two have definitely been closed throughout lockdown.
