@Deedoodle I rarely post on here for exactly that reason. I simply reported what that area has been  used for over the last few months and look at the response I get! Very reminiscent of someone else who used to post on here......... or maybe they have, once again, reinvented themselves.

But the footpath through that land has been Closed for a long time and it begs the question why? Did the town council agree to the closure of the footpath? Were the necessary notices advertised? I don't ever remember seeing notice of closure to the footpath.

Based on the rate of progress made on the first Phase that should read March 2022! First Phase already 9 months behind the original scheduled date for completion and they still haven't finished!

The project for that end of the sea wall is completely over the top! They are creating a concrete jungle which will destroy the look and ambience of the whole area. The stretch of sea wall that went down in 2014 has been rebuilt and is resiliant and they don't really need to do much more. They have been building a Noah's Ark type structure out of wood for days, which is supposed to be the viewing platform for those in wheelchairs. Duckileaks, the ones I'm talking about probably do have back doors but to get to them you have to go from the front. I know for sure that two have definitely been closed throughout lockdown.

If you are going to visit then take proof of your address otherwise you will be turned away.

There is a structure out at sea that is only visible in certain conditions, I can't remember what it is but it has been there for years! Perhaps that is what Lynne has seen. It is weird that it is only visible in certain weather conditions, I have observed it one day from DW and the next day cannot see it at all.

The trains do not compare to the horrendous noise from the work on the wall! Yes, the work has to be done but the line isn’t breached, like it was in 2014, so there is no need to work all day and night. We should have at least two nights a week without any work so we can get a decent nights sleep! It’s all to do with profit margins and greed and they don’t give a dam about the impact on the lives ...

And then it’s 24 hours a day from September until they finish, supposedly mid-January!

The BBC is outdated and needs to move into the 21st centuary. If we want to watch BBC then we should pay like we do for Sky or any other service and if we don’t then we shouldn’t be paying, it really is that simple! I happily pay for Sky yet rarely watch the British Bias Corporaton(BBC) so why should I have to pay for something I choose not to Watch? I’m now ready for the volley of vitriolic abuse ...

Vote for your independent Dawlish Councillors tomorrow.

Vote for your local independent councillors, they are not told what to say and how to vote by their political party, they generally want to do the best for Dawlish and the people of Dawlish. Let’s take the politics out of local council decision making.
