I'm surprised that there has only been 2 objections to this request for change of use to dwelling. It is a larger site than Mr Stone presenently has an appeal open on for land adjoining that has plans for 2 detached houses. I cannot see Mr Stone settling for 'A' dwelling on this rather more substanstial plot. I would assume 1) change of use to dwelling, 2) application for 2  dwellings or more! ...

From reading the newpaper article it tends to imply that the police did not actually attend the location. I appreciate that they are spread very thin these days. That being the beat cops not the gentry on large salaries sat on their backsides counting their fat salaries and deciding which beat cops and pcso's to lay off next. So this male was able to access the female toilets and although the ...

Saw this on Youtube today with the main criteria listed as 'highlights the need for new homes and jobs for local people' Yeh, belive that you'd believe anything.

It would be helpful if there were a few more details like any markings, broken bits on the van etc. Where was it seen taking an interest in peoples dogs? What dates was it seen on acting suspiciously?  Was the driver male, female, white, black, big, small? I'm happy to keep a look out, but a white van is not a rare beast on the roads of Dawlish, is it! To many white van's act suspiciously.

I walk along a track that sits some height and distance from this car crash they call a 'housing development(s)' on a daily basis. It is just a peice of land the developers have maixmised their profit potential buy cramming as many properties into a limited space. Their seems to be little in the way of additional infrastructure to support this large volume of properties, schools, etc. South ...

No hard shoulders from what I can see, so the first time their is a conked out vehicle or large crash how will the emergency services get to it. The other side of the road I suppose! Poorly thought out for plans going back over half a century for traffic volumes that were never envisaged in the future. A little to late in my opinion.

I'm sure if TDC's planning dept had to endure bouts of sewage outside their offices on a regular basis it would be resolved very quickly. When I walk around the local area and see some of the nightmare buildings that TDC have allowed planning permission on. Which are either just ugly (in my opinion) or just standout as alien in the location they have been built. This is only the start of ...

I noticed the barriers a couple of nights ago, thanks to those who were involved in this project. It may not stop those ignorant people who cycle along the sea path and put everyone else at risk, but at least they have no excuse not for seeing the signs. I will feel more inclined to voice my opinion to those cyclists who decide to flaunt said signs from now on.

'Sewage problem at Shutterton' 28th Feb 2015 - discussion on Dawlish.com opened by Lynne. In my opinion SW Water do not wish to spend any money upgrading the sewers due to the major housing developments that are taking place around Dawlish. Although they are quite happy ...
