Man has done more damage to the wild life on this planet, perhaps this is a small way to protect some.

Now that parliament will be officially disolved this afternoon, will the MP's that are now, be signing on at their local job centre. After all, many will be without a job and I presume without pay until either they are re-elected or until they find another job. ?????????????????????????????? I wonder.

So the government has reluctanly decided not to appeal a decision by the courts that they must published the report on clean air and they have said they will publish before the 9th of May. So I can breath easier now
Haunt the politians - besides, why would you want to haunt me.
I have been banging on for years about the need to preserve and making better use of what we have. Populations growing, natural resources running out, food shortages because of, ETC,ETC. Government policy | Mon 10th Aug 2009 | 'Radical rethink' needed on food supply There needs to be a "radical rethink" of how Britain produces and consumes food, Hilary Benn said on Monday. Speaking at the launch ...
Blame your very own Devon County Councillor the very right ????? Clatworthy. He proposed it - can't remember who the seconder was. He thought it was a good idea so that more people would then park and more lolly would come rol'n in for having to pay for parking all the year round, instead of what it used to be - seasonal.
Facts, the likes of Roy and FEL-699 do not know the meaning of facts. They are like many of our news reporters - write stories. I would like to remind many who frequent this forum. Do not jump to quick conclusions, they are not always right Wait, and later on some other facts may come to light Sometimes folks get cross because they've got a hurt to hide And often there's another picture on ...
And Devon County Council are using false documents to persecute thousands if not millions of motorists. And that is not because of a technicality, it is because they have blatantly broken the law.
Refering to the link. I have described the various links between one application and another. James Plantation through the old pig farm, out through Carhaix Way - to Tesco. Then the next phase in the link would I presume be the other side of Secmaton Lane. Planning permission has already been applied for and turned down (for the moment) by the Jefferies (they are involved with selling off part of ...
Only because the lib dems have been selling the family silver, and they ripped off Wally to the tune of £20,000 for a postage size piece of land. And as TDC valuer admits, it was equivalant to £250,000 a acre. That is what I call well done TDC.
From a source that I never expected.....Wally dropped his wallet - boom, boom.
E's out canvasing! You know, when they come knocking on your door in the hope you will not tell them to fkuc off.
The fight is on! Now that Estate Agents are suffering so badly, many are turning their attentions to the letting of properties as opposed to selling them - oh dear. Estate agent complaints persist The Ombudsman for Estate Agents has reported a "surprising" workload dealing with complaints despite the property market slump. While activity dropped by as much as 60% in 2008, Christopher Hamer ...
Companies in Devon and Cornwall who promote holiday lets warned the move could see an exodus of properties from the industry – leading to less accommodation for tourists but raising the prospect of some houses which had only been used part-time coming on to the market to become permanent homes once again. How many small Hotels did we once have in Dawlish and are now blocks of flats? Hotels in ...
Well put 4549. Perhaps Roy would like to make a comment on the achievement of getting the pavilion at Sandy Lane a Grade 2 listed building. Your councillors should have done that years ago. But no! they were prepared to let the bulldozers in and raise it to the ground. Perhaps Roy would like to bring presure on his councillors, to now bring the building up to a decent state of repair. Well done ...
Local authorities have a duty to provide open space, leisure and pleasure facilities. As far as I am aware in the last 50 years, Dawlish - one way or another, has destroyed much leisure facilities and it has never been replaced. When there is a demand for allotments, that leisure facility is never met with enthusiasim. Providing allotments, provides no gain (financially) for those with their snout ...
Pro the roe has always talked from an orfice further from his brain than his mouth. If the sun shone from it, we may get some light shed on the job, but no - he comes out with crass statements that aren't worth the light of day.
I have noticed on many occasion especially with some writers to this forum, how they imagine what is happening, instead of expanding their brain cells and open them up to reality. I will give an example of how some tarnish the motorist as speeders, when in reality most are not. Dunchideock, a nice little village just below the Haldon Hill. People complained that the speed of traffic in and ...
Lib Dems who hold the majority on Dawlish Town Council are up to their tricks nationally. If I broke the law, I would get hammered - Lib dems get a warning. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7635799.stm
JD U SAY: " For everyone's benefit, including your own, can you try again but without the abuse please? Many thanks." I am not in the habit of repeating my self. A judge once said to a policeman who tried to charge a man who swore at him, " if you cannot accept abuse and bad language, then you have no right to be in the job, case dismissed". He only told him to flock off! and that is what you ...
This web site can be viewed by anyone from anywhere in the world. Nice to know that I have friends in USA, New Zealand, Australia and South Africa who read it on a regular basis. They thought that the way Dawlish Town Council treat those that voted them into office were more in keeping with Zimbabwi, China, North Korea, etc, and not by the so called democracy that we supposed to have here.
Devon General was government owned in the 1970's. News to me! no matter, I am talking about what went on before that date. Devon General had been providing a longer distance, county wide service since 1919. In 1947 Exeter Corporation agreed with Devon General to jointly operate some routes within a ten mile radius of the city to prevent unnecessary duplication. (that was when the amalgamation ...
With the money spent on the useless CCTV system we now have, we could have bought a 30 acre field with the same money, (three times the size of Sandy Lane playing fields.) Now that would be of considerable benefit to all in Dawlish for many, many, many different activities. What have we now? A field where activities are being packed in like sardines in a tin. And who do you think should be ...
Some of us have been trying to warn others of the dangers of accepting things at face value. Others have been trying to rubbish the warnings, for reasons best known to themselves. I would like to inform Don, That once upon a time, agenda's of the meetings held for Dawlish Town Council, where placed on the web site in their entirety and once upon a time members of the public could address THE ...
To all you lubbly drinkers out there, run along to the mount, I have heard he is fallin on ard times, and now that the charity coffers are on de wain theys be lookin for others vays of muckin a livin.
Could not agree with you more Lord Flasheart. I have been trying to give good advice for years and most of it if not all of it has turned out to be the correct advice. Trouble is, people tend to believe some twat in a stripped suit and not some beer swigging bloke in a pair of grubby overalls. Drug takers, alchofolics, singers and comediens have a lot to say about what is going wrong in ...
What has happened to the Computor shop at Piermont Place? I see there is plenty of mail on the floor.
There is a bed and breakfast place at Dawlish Warren called REDROCK. It is full of sh1t and you get charged the earth. Macdonalds food bar, and ken tuckers chickenleg dishes are better, even the Warren chippy can knock spots off their grub. But put a bit of shine on the place and foreigners think it is the bizz. I heard it is about £800 a week high treason, sorry season.
Could someone please tell me what estate agents are telling their customers now? Whether buyers or sellers.
First of all - there are some that say we are stuck in the 19 century, nothing wrong with that, is there? Others say we need to change, do we? Others are advocating bringing in supermarkets, if I have there thinking right, it will bring more business to the town, will it? I say - we need change for the better, but not at the expense of ruining the quality of life that Dawlishonians. Why do ...
Great place to be Don, when you want a bit of peace and quiet.
The housing crisis has come about for no other reason than greed, Whether by those who had a vested interest in the housing market, (Planners, surveyors, archi's, builder's, solicitors, estate agent's, etc, or those that thought that property was a good way to make money, (buy-to-let merchants)) although there will be plenty that will disagree with that. A young couple, with their nose to the ...
I have had this out with supporters of fairtrade in the past. None of their side of the arguments I had with them are sound. I once belonged to a cooperative that was supposed to benefit members of the cooperative - it did not. The people that benefitted the most, were those that did the organizing; in the case of fairtrade, it is people with a stiff white collar around their neck. I have ...
You ask,"Where are their parents?" What parents? That is the trouble, they are non existant. I have seen children as young as 10-12 years old at Tuck's plot as late or early as one o'clock in the morning. Do their parents care?
Vanguard, you did not stoke a hornets nest, another hornet in the name of David did that. I tried to explain to others why there was no more party in the park and it would appear that I touched a hornets nerve. I enjoyed that day as much as everyone else or I think everyone else enjoyed it, except maybe those that put the event on because it did not turn out quite to their liking. A shop keeper ...
