I did go and speak against the planning application as a ward member. I will always speak against more houses. We have had more than our share of houses.
Some equipment starting to go in
Teignbridge have served notice to quit so they should be gone soon.
Dawlish Town Council last night unanimously voted to agree financial support for the flag ship play park project in the Manor Gardens to the tune of up to £200,000, in addition to funding available from Teignbridge District Council of approx. £143,000. A big step towards seeing the project come to fruition. Exciting things to come!
The flagship Play Park will be at the Manor Gardens. It will be a park for people with disabilities and people in wheelchairs that able bodied people can use as well.
The individuals committing burglary within our community recently all three suspects were arrested on the same night, this is thanks to an incredible response by Police response officers, traffic officers, and the Police Helicopter working to keep our community safe.
I have raised thie issue of the beach hut increase at Teignbridge in the Overview and Scrutiny Committee yesterday. The proposed budget was an item on the agenda and I robustly advised that the vast increase could not be justified in beach hut rents. The portfolio Holder for finance has advised me that he will reconsider the increase and I am waiting to hear what the outcome is going to be.
The money for the refurbishment of Teignmouth Play Park has been in the Teignbridge budget for a few years it couldn't befor now because of COVID. We started our plan 3 years ago but because of COVID it was very slow. It is now coming to fruition when the plan is ready for consultation I will make sure it is out on here for feedback. There is some money in the budget for Dawlish but we need to ...

The Freemason do a tremendous amount for charities. When I worked for Red Cross we regularly received money from them for local causes. There is a national section which is called The Grand Charity we received a massive amount from them for fire victim support vehicles. When John and I were Mayor and Mayoress of Dawlish we received two amounts for charities in Dawlish at a regional level.
I don't have a problem with the expression local girl, my husband always refers to himself as a local boy born and bred in Dawlish. She will give Anne Marie a run for her money
I went down yesterday it was a fantastic atmosphere.
We didn't need to focus on the DW toilets as far as we knew they were being kept open until the conversion was done then the toilets would continue to be open alongside the new business. We did what we needed to do for both sets of toilets. Dawlish Councillors did fight hard for both sets of toilets.
The answers to all the questions being asked on this thread are on the Rock Pool Cafe facebook page. Please do take the time to read it.
The 5k grant was for marshalling and marquee. It is only fair to pay for that as we have paid for the air shows marquee.
Questions need to be asked. Why did braking Wind not get the contract at The Warren Toilet site? Who did get it? Does Teignbridge not care that a local trader not getting the contract
Eric Sims fantastic decorator let me know if you want contact details
I have enjoyed working with you and Michael, Bob and you both deserve all the praise you are receiving on this forum. You have both worked very hard as Councillors for Dawlish. Congratulations on your fantastic news.
Wonderful event at DCC. DCC exchanged teachers with a school in India. The Indian teachers have spent a week at DCC. Today we presented them with a plaque from DTC and the Indian teachers answered questions from the students. Very special afternoon.
I voted for my reason being that I felt Dawlish needed the carnival to go ahead. So many people look forward to Carnival week.

The closing date for submission of photograps is Monday 2nd February and the whole group will look at all the photographs submitted on Tuesday 3rd February, and the whole group will make the decision on what photograps will be used for the banners. If you are not sending photographs, feel free to email to me any ideas and thoughts you have about the banners and I ...

Happy New Year hope 2015 is a good year for everyone.😀😀😀😀
Merry Christmas to everyone and a very happy new year😀
Lovely weekend in Dawlish with lots of Christmas spirit.
If a property is repossed and an offer is made the estate agent does have to put it in the paper to allow anybody else who wants to to make an offer. If you telephone the estate agent they will give you the exact details and reasons behind it. I think the bank are obliged to get the best price possible.
Yes such a shame. My thoughts and prayers go out to her husband, who brought her so much happiness, and her two sons , who she was so proud of.
What time does it start please and how much are the lessons.
Well done Lynne. If anbody wants any information about NFOP let me know I work for them.
Bernard I am on the Town Lawn Group and I have no knowledge of a plan being formulated for a new bandstand.
What about if we spoke to Cofton about discounts for swimming or for discounted carvery on a week day do you think people would use it.
Quick update -banners in the Strand have been re hung.
Hi Lynne I will check for you I haven't had any different figures to the £144. Those who have SERPS or similar will have no increases until the pensioners on the new rate meet their level. My understanding was that every person who went on to pension status would receive the new amount. Pension credit would disappear altogether.
