Good progress is being made with the Play Area at the Manor Gardens which is set to open around mid-February, with an official opening being held on 4 March.
We invite you to join the Mayor of Dawlish for the ribbon cutting ceremony at 2.30 p.m. at the Play Park in the Manor Gardens.

The Play Park is now open for the children to use.  It is lovely to hear so much laughter and to see so many children using the play park

Sadly, our day started on a disappointing note. Unfortunately the new play park in the Manor Gardens was vandalised last night. Perspex windows in the train were smashed and the area was filled with litter, in addition to several swings being swung around the frames rendering them unusable.
It's been reported to the Police who have confirmed the area will be added to their patrols as a priority. Members of the public are encouraged to report any disturbances they see to the Police and / or us. We will not hesitate to prosecute where we are able so that we can protect the area for everyone's enjoyment.

Thought that everyone knew this would happen.

The previous play park was set on fire at least twice and other vandalism/dangerous littering numerous times.

Pointless to build a really good facility there without protecting it with a really good (and copiously signed) CCTV system.

Sorry to state 'The Bleedin' Obvious' but it was built by our tax money.

Well done to the vocal minority who insisted that nothing be put onto the sacred Dawlish Lawn. %uD83D%uDE48
