Ah so you looked too - yes pretty appalling isn't it? I will be following this up with the Town Council.

cluck cluck - nope, wrong again. At least I'm not wandering around deludedly naked.
you obviously didn't read all the changes HRH did you as some were location changes.
Yes I went to the Grammar School. By the way check www.friendsreunited.co.uk for Dawlish Secondary Modern. You'll find a few of your old long lost chums. Probably doing something involving crab pots now.
Hi! I'm webmaster No2 after the first was put out of action. Actually there are two webmasters to this site as me & a colleague developed the site a few years ago. The main reason we don't contribute much to the site is that we are/were both working on other projects (i.e. ones that earn us a living!). Dawlish.com was an idea we had a few years ago to bring Dawlish into the 21st century. We knew ...
Yes, they make them in Taiwan. People are superfluous. Actually, ASDA has said today it might buy Somerfield
A Devon council has held back a number of postal votes after learning that the building they were destined for had been demolished. The 16 votes were addressed to the Great Cliffs residential home in Marine Parade, Dawlish. An officer from Teignbridge District Council visited the site on Wednesday to confirm it was demolished. The votes are being withheld until the people they were intended for ...
As I have said on the discussion board, the 'moaning', as you call it, is a wake up call - the town is in a state of decline and seems to be controlled by short term business interests ie making money from less affluent tourists from Dawlish Warren. I am in fact involved in a number of local groups but there are huge obstacles to progress, mainly due to blinkered attitudes about how Dawlish should ...
Teignmouth is full of Mongols. 300 k for a flat- where do you you think you are Monte Carlo?
Blondie - I dont think 'Someone who's fed up' would be much of a catch, hunk - wise. Still....no harm in trying to start a dialogue
O People of Dawlish, For too long you have oscillated between Liberal Democrat and Conservative, and no good has accrued to Dawlish. The town core GDP driver of tourism earnings is failing as key infrastructure investments have been neglected. Furthermore there has been no substantive marketing and re-branding of Dawlish as a boutique destination. Whilst seaside towns like Salcombe and Dartmouth ...
If you feel the urge to change the town and don't know how except by moaning i suggest the following, go to your local library and ask some one there for information about one of the MANY organisations in dawlish that could help you in your quest.
Hello Dawlish I hope someone can help me. i am looking for some ancestors of mine that lived in dawlish all ther lives, i do not know what there address was but i do know thay passed away in the 1990's, maybe someone would have known them, i would be most grateful for any information, they also had a sister Rose my grandmother who married Thomas Amor and moved to Buckinghamshire. Thankyou Mark ...
Don't know about that - stumpy seems pretty perceptive to me. In fact I thought he was taking the **** out of me.
I have gone out into the Cosmos, and worked my ass off for 20 years - interacting with all sorts of scumbags. Now I find out that if i'd just sat like a big nonce in Dawlish eating Gays Creamery buns for all that time. I'd have the same net worth. Anyway after your General Election, Council Taxes are sky-rocketing, then you'll all be screwed. heheheheheh.
The answer's in the soil, as tis always.
You lot don't know much down there do you.Even I know that the next two lines are 'Steeplng cliffs by the surging main Rich red loam for the cow' yes its me,you thought I'd drowned in the perfect storm didn't you, but my swordboat the 'andrea gail'is still afloat and I'm still catching swordfish off the grand Banks and the Flemish cap!
Why can't we get Channel 5 in Dawlish? I want to see the porn masquerading as socio-realistic documentaries.
At least Mindful managed to find a husband before she came to Dawlish, as there are no middle-aged single straight men in the Parish.
Loved it... Brilliant....just what this forum needs. Although my boss asked what I was laughing at!!!
This poor fellow has been held in Dawlish against his will. Here he begs to be released, only to be told that trains are cancelled due to high tides, and buses are delayed due to an Old Age Pensioner at the Catholic Church having fallen over. You can download the video from this link. http://www.ogrish.com/archives/ken_bigley_video_kenneth_bigley_beheading_video_Oct_10_2004.html
Yes indeedy, and lets hope for responsible dog owners and clean streets.
It's the time of reckoning for Dawlish Town tomorrow as they head for Radstock Town in Division One of the Screwfix Direct Western League. Win against their second-placed rivals, and the fifth-placed Sandy Lane club can still dream of returning to the Premier Division at the first attempt. However, anything less and player-manager Chris Myers' side will have too much leeway to make up in their ...
I can't believe you didn't have a bet on. You must feel pig sick. Could you please post your recommendation for the Derby when the time comes? There will probably be three more posts between now and then.
We're digressing from dog poo. Lets refocus.
What makes you think I live in your hemisphere? At least the small numbers make the annual DD get-together easier to organize.
The best way of disposing of embarrasing stinky refuse in Dawlish is,- black plastic sack, quick sprinkle of quicklime to assisr decomposition, & pop it in the Wheely bin of your neighbour.
A man who has not bribed the Carnival Committee stands as much chance of being an Utterly Butterly papal wing walker than a camel has of passing through the eye of a needle. ...anyway its St Jimmy Hill's turn (again - for the 4th time) Time for me to Act.....
On the coast it's probably Salcombe, then Sidmouth ..Dawlish is somewhere down the list ..certainly not the highest prices, though may seem it. North Devon is low and parts of run down Plymouth. Go to ..www.upyourstreet.com and type in each town and all will be revealed. I use that site a lot for all info. Hope that helps.
The Dawlish Town re-building programme for next season continued this week ahead of tomorrow's home game with Shepton Mallet in Division One of the Screwfix Direct Western League. With nine games to go, and promotion now wishful thinking, player-manager Chris Myers and recently appointed assistant manager Adam Kerswell have gone back to Kerswell's former side Dartington Sports Club and registered ...
To face reality, visiting is the ideal answer. For that very reason, a year ago, students from Dawlish community college planned to visit the land of many puzzles and back image theories. The purpose of the visit was to meet the people, feel the experience and learn more about Africa, but above all these students wanted to see how they could give help to the needy. Almost a year to the day after ...
Graffiti blighting the bandstand in the centre of Dawlish has been tackled by Teignbridge Council as part of its spruce up for the summer season. Obscene graffiti had been marker penned on the walls of the bandstand on The Lawn in the centre of Dawlish. Now contractors working for the council have been cleaning it up.
I could not agree more. Dawlish' problem is that it is geared almost entirely to the day tripper market, esp from Dawlish Warren. It needs to target a different type of customer - yes, hotel investment would be a great start.
.. is the fare if you are resident in Devon with a travelcard. It costs more than that to run the car and include parking fees. The law now requires that new vehicles are required with disabilty access ..these cost over £100.000 each! Dawlish has a bus every 15 minutes during the day to Exeter and Teignmouth...to maintain that you need 10 buses along the route ..add the costs together with the ...
You're a boring person. (Ever contemplated that?)
A SHY young Iraq veteran has won the first Victoria Cross given to a living soldier since 1969. Private Johnson Beharry, 25, an immigrant from the Caribbean island of Grenada, won his VC for saving the lives of his comrades in two incidents last May and June. Severely wounded in the second, he was given only a 50-50 chance of survival and is still on sick leave from the Princess of Wales's Royals. ...
Reading the text of your posting ..perhaps in your spare time you could take a course in English literature and you may gain a career or at least be able to complete an application form!
In another busy weekend for Dawlish swimmers at Tiverton, the latest round of County Championships saw more medal successes, writes Phil Shute. Once more it was the season's brightest newcomer, Rebecca Squire, who was top of the rostrum. Nine year old Squire, having already scooped gold and silver medals this season, set a competition-best time in the 200m butterfly, comfortably winning another ...
