What you can do about it

"We strongly recommend that you check your exposure from the mast near you with the COM and the A-COM monitors, available from EMFields. Find the least exposed place to put your beds, etc. in your house and safe places in the garden to sit and play. If the incoming microwave levels are high or noisy you may want to safeguard the health of yourself and your family with screening bed canopies, curtains and paint.
If you are thinking about buying a property near a mast, are concerned about existing local masts or a new application, or want to protect your family from the invasive radiation pollution, we recommend the following:-
* Hiring an appropriate meter from EMFields via their equipment page.
* Our publications, specifically "Buying an EMF safe Property", "Mobile Phones and Masts" and "EMF and Microwave Protection" offer a lot of useful background information to measuring your electromagnetic fields. These are also available from the EMFields publications page.
* If your fields are too high, then EMFields also stock screening materials with instructions as to how to effectively install them within your own home or place of work.
The government received 22.5 billion pounds from selling the 3rd generation licences , and the tax from phone companies is now worth over a billion pounds per year. They are promoting mobile communications and have made it very difficult for local planning authorities to refuse mast applications.
It is also important to remember that by 31/12/2007, all Operators are required to install, maintain and provide 3G service where at least 80% of the population live, under the terms of their licenses granted to them by Central Government in 2000. The only thing that will stop these Masts from being erected (somewhere... eventually!) is if the Government revokes these licenses & we all stop using Mobile Phones. This is highly unlikely to happen!"
