@taylorjack - too difficult for your tiny brain cell to comprehend eh?
Libby's Posts
Mcjrpc Thank you for your kind words - and for your quite correct interpretation of my post - my delay in responding is due to technical problems (story of my life!) but I much appreciate your response! OLD FART I obviously dont live in the real world eh? Quite how you deduce that I neither know nor care. To be frank, were I looking for advice on the world from someone, you would be third in a ...
HuwMatthews - what are you on about? With respect, you do realise that your inability to form an argument makes you sound like a plonker?
@Paul - one persons 'troublemaker' is another person's 'protester'. protesting is a perfectly legal activity and you should be horrified that the police are able to round up people before they have done anything. areyou really happy to have your civil liberties removed? or to live in acountry where people's civil liberties, including our right to protest, are removed? because this is what's ...
@DJ if you avoid the news you can probably avoid the posts here. i know you are trying to be reasonable but its not compulsory. and @wondering . you haven't of course taken the opportunity to 'make some political points' have you? bless
Extraordinary. In 2013 medical records are being transported by courier and not being sent electronically. The NHS needs to get its act togethet
Paul -- what's it like to blunder your way through life without an ounce of human kindness or compassion for the plight of people you know nothing about? People such as yourself feel perfectly at liberty to express what you call 'opinions' but which are actually prejudices because they are not based on any facts. Shame on you and others like you
For Goodness Sake MugOnHead - try just for once to post something without making yourself sound like a complete prat. Comparing Sainsburys to the Nazis is NOT an opinion - its simply the bigoted stupidity of a moron.
it most definitely is not a gross generalization to say that the elderley are the most frequent users of the nhs @burneside - its a fact. whether or not they get 'more than their monies worth' i really couldn't comment! pensioner poverty is equally as important and as soul destroying as child poverty. in my view, @Lynne and @neilh , pensioners should have their benefits irrespective of their ...
mmmm - not sure i said anything about beating each other to death @fannyann . i said beating each other up which is what happens isnt it? not sure that i agree with you @neilh about 'natural aggression'. theres nothing 'natural' about aggression - its a learned behaviour. It would be nice to offer non violent , competetive and challenging activities
I think I said that they make massive profits from products of no decernable nutritional value #Wriggler - being a successfu business and making a profit (which is the whole point of capitalism)l doesnt mean that integrity and ethical business practice need to be neglected/ ignored. Some businesses manage to be successful without exploiting their staff, their suppliers and their customers (in the ...
Only if you want local wages to be decreased as a result of employers getting 'free' labour from the unemployed.
I cant imagine that the good burghers of Dawlish would be keen to have a 'bomb scare' all over the news in the week before Easter. Hardly conducive to family friendly holidays.
oh i thought it was mordor @Lynne - i think southwold is twinned with narnia
i think if you read what i said bryony you will see that i was very careful not to presume that your default position is that people with little money care little about their children (quote 'i am not suggesting that this is your default position @bryony ') . and where have i made a presumption about your family income? i know nothing about you (nor you me) and assume even less so don't make this ...
the workhouse @Lynne ??? since everything i have read on here leads me to think that you and i probably have similar views about these issues, there is no point in me taking up your baton and running with it ! however, it would be interesting to have a different point of view expressed to debate........anyone???
am not understanding the maths here @neilh . can you explain please!! or am i just being thick?? (which is quite possible!)
notice i didnt bite @jools88 ! - was too busy yawning..
oh my goodness @neilh - so much better than sir john!
I know Mr Davies is writing about the Teignbridge Plan BUT why on earth is he not claiming the benefits to which he is entitled? It is not chairty money, there is no stigma atached to claiming (at least there shouldn't be), but, more importantly, Mr Davies has paid for it through his tax and NI over his working years. It seems utterly ridiculous to cut off his nose to spite his face....
What do single mothers look like 007? Our daughter is a single mother (age 27, son 13 months, she works, pays for childcare, pays her mortgage, pays for her car, takes enormous care of, and cherishes her baby) but she LOOKS exactly like a married mother as far as I can tell - and she might be in a Cafe having a coffee with a friend for all you know.
Apparently its due to improved dog nutrition Jools88- but I'm afraid I cant recall the details!
oh yuk! Nature can be quite disgusting
Had a lovely lunch at the Exeter Inn today. Very friendly staff and delicious, freshly cooked meal. Thoroughly recommend it
I love the word Pelagic Wriggler - I'm going to try and use it. There was a question about Barnacles on University Challenge tonight - the answer was (sadly) not Pelagic though!
Hi Lynne - you posted a lovely comment on the thread about our dog being knocked down and killed the other day and we (my husband and I) commented on how nice it was to hear from you again! I dont think what goes on on this site is bullying - its just people feeling brave enough to comment under the guise of anonymity. Thats more about integrity I think. Personally I really don't understand why ...
Thank you Cosey - I hope they are in the monority too!
Thank you Neil for your well reasoned arguments. I shall certainly be referring to it in my response to Teignbridge planners
