Hey fellas and ladies,
Why has no-one chased Teignbridge to subscribe to the Queen Elizabeth Playing Fields scheme whereby the local authority commits to keeping certain fields, woodland, etc., for the public use ?
You can start things off by going to www.qe2fileds.com and searching for Teignbridge, and you';ll find nothing. So fill in the form and get an avalanche of messages from QE2 to the Chief Exec and we can also follow this by suggesting Sandy Lane, Dawlish, etc.,

Ahem! Would just like to point out that this QE2 scheme was pursued by a certain republican (I know, I know, but hey if it helps save Sandy Lane Playing Fields from development I'll swallow my republican principles) some time back but TDC didn't want to play ball (what an appropriate expression) then and it seems nothing has changed now.
Okay then boys and girls shall we do as Uncle Bob asks?
PS Question to BV. Is the town council pursuing this matter? If so, what has it done/is it doing?
Thanks folks fo acting on that prompt. Lynne was not the only one to try a polite (?) letter to TDC and I think that waiting time is over. I will raise this with the relevant committee of the Town Council but not this week because the important people are working very hard to ensure the assets go back to TDC on 1st April so that we can redirect the Parish Precept to more effect.
I will also try to reach those members of TDC who have recently carried out a review of sport and leisure in Teignbridge.
