Yes, a supermarket will stop the trek to Newton or Exeter but it will also bring more cars to us here, in Dawlish. Swings and roundabouts if you ask me. If Dawlish had a proper Farmers' Market it might also draw people in from surrounding villages plus tourists in the holiday season. This would knock spots of the so called attractions of a supermarket because: 1. All food would be fresh and locally produced. 2. All monies spent would go back into the local economy.
