Am I on an alternate Earth where the reverse on logic and common sense prevails and only evil and greed are rewarded? The NHS has been eroded for decades whilst the management continues to grow like the fungus on moldy meat. Its about time this countries numerous festering swamps were drained and the country was run for the people not the establishment.

And we all know which people get the most out of these positions of power, DONT WE?

Its about time they spent the money they already claw off hard working people on the essentials. Instead of large pay packets, pension top ups and expenses and newton abbot town centre.

They are carrying out this years Dawlish patrols on foot to get them out the way for the rest of their years busy schedule of sitting in their car, van, station etc.

Last week the CDC and who stated incubation was up to 25 days!

You don't need a centre you need coppers walking the streets and gaining local knowledge and the confidence of the local people. The centre will just be a money pit that does very little other than house a group of over paid individuals sitting in sterile environments. It will then most probably be closed after a year or so as ineffectual. Real world problems need real world actions. Just look who ...

Pics on daily mail last night showed the evacuated in face masks and one person in each transit coach, 6 in all, going to their assigned quarantine zone. Several of the coach drivers had NO protection at all!

I don't believe it was trust. In my opinion she only got another term on the gravy train because she was the lesser of two candidates. The only time you see her is when there is a national media event. Unlike many of her constituents she will be getting paid far above those who pay her salary, expenses, etc, etc and have to scrimp and save to pay their bills just to live. As for the £16 plus ...

I struggled to get job seekers allowance on three ocassions over a 30 year employment history when I was made redundant each time. Come the apocalypse there won't be handouts from those that work...oh I forgot labour did not win the 2019 GE..ha ha

They will say anything to get into power for the next 5 years. The only thing that you can bank on is their pay will go UP every year and taxes will continue to increase. Other than that same old, same old. Call me cynical, but I have witnessed this many times in my 60 years of living in this beggars paradise we call the UK.

@1263 one thing they are very good at is spending our money for worthless things, while the local area continues to spiral downwards.

How naive can these people be. What do they think there homes were built. How do they think residents who have lived here for decades feel about their over priced and poorly built homes going up on green field sites then?

Every year these @#£%S have their raves over a weekend solid....I just get a supply of wax ear plugs and when the booming start I stick them in, sleep like a baby.

Anyone else aware the local gp surgery is now charging £40 for the medical questionaire sent to them by Devon police? Came as a bit of a shock considering the same surgery has not charged a fee for the previous 3 permit medical requests. The shotgun permit is £45 and the police do a lot more work for that amount.

The only way to confirm what has really happened is to record the incidents. This is the only evidence the courts will accept.

Ignorant cyclist putting walkers in danger whilst he cycles along the sea wall between The Warren and Dawlish. On occassion I have confronted those ignorant people who cycle along the sea wall only to be verbally abused and in some cases, if it wasn't for my size, physically assaulted. In the 15 years I have lived in Dawlish the town's essential services have become ever more scarce. Prohibition notices have been placed around the town to stop the minority of idiots, vagrants and alcoholics from being an annoyance, but as zero enforcement takes place they just paint the town as a problem area to visitors. It would be better if they actually enforced the PSPO's they currently have, before they expand them. The Dawlish PSPO is a joke. There is blatent abuse off  the PSPO and very rarely does anything get enforced.

At a time when Teignbridge council say there is little money for the district. All I see in the local papers over the last couple of years is tens of millions being spent on Newton Abbot and very little anywhere else. Latest info was gleamed from this weeks Dawlish Post page 5.
