I am no expert but if an alternative route was available, (I believe there used to be a permanent way between EXETER and NEWTON ABBOT via Bovey and Heathfield), then that would certainly affect Dawlish and Teignmouth in a big way. You would think that people could find something better to do . . . Just remember though, if you get hit by and egg and it lands on your windscreen, do not use your wipers, it will smear the egg all over your screen and make seeing difficult. Stop at the first safe opportunity and wipe it off with clean cloth or tissue. Don't risk an accident, that's probably just what the mindless twits ...

I rent a flat in Dawlish from a private landlord. Recently I had a wet room fitted with the consent of the landlord. It incurred taking out the complete bathroom suite, removing the floor, resiting the drains etc. etc. ....... I was fortunate enough to stay in a friends bungalow whilst the work was being done as I could not use the bathroom in the flat. I had various concerns during the work ...
