@leatash. ask network rail about it and they will come out and fix it. or they will put you in touch with the contractors that sometimes work there.

taylorjack913 - you seem to have got very hot under the collar about this without actually thinking through the responses people have given you.  You say you contacted Teignbridge DC who said they couldn't do anything.  And the reason they can't do anything is because it isn't their sea wall!  As has already been said, the sea wall is the responsibilty of Network Rail.  They regularly check the sea wall for damage and then schedule repairs.  It is not in their interests to allow the wall to crumble away because that would shut the rail link through the South West and they would then incur fines from the operating companies until it was back up and running.  Network Rail are currently still working on repairing the damage done from all the landslips etc along the sea wall section between Dawlish Warren and Teignmouth and no doubt any further repairs will be scheduled according to urgency on the other sections.  If you remain worried about a particular area then why not contact Network Rail directly?  Telling Teignbridge about it was about as useful as telling the manager at the Co-op and expecting him to sort it out!  As for "it flood and will all die" slightly over the top reaction don't you think?  The sea wall maintenance programme is an ongoing one costing Network Rail millions of pounds, hardly the actions of a company doing nothing.

@DJ. good post entirely agree with you. @Taylorjack913.  network rail do check this line not only at the famous sea wall but at starcross as well.  i think that network rail website must have a contact address so you can e-mail them.
