A WEEK of Kingsteignton Bowls Club began on June 4 as the Y element of KBC Over 55’s travelled to Dawlish Marina to be entertained on Marina’s lawn, reports Rik Perfect . This one finished 33-35 to KBC (2-6 pts).

THIS week’s match report for Bovey Tracey Bowls Club begins with a home fixture in the men's Mid Devon League against Dawlish, writes Keith Lockett. In cool but pleasant playing conditions, the visitors ran out winners by 80 shots to 72 with the rinks tied two each.

@DAC Your being a bit over the top to say you think Paul and Steve are anti islamic, surely the main point is the cruel way the animals are killed, and then you launch into a  diatribe about all other animal issues which takes away the main point of steve and pauls worthwhile post.

@Paul , it's impossible to defend such barbaric ritualistic cruelty, which is why the supporters had nothing of any substance to say.

It's another step backwards for a country that's in decline. Decades of animal welfare progress all for nothing.

Good debate, but same old government line at the end. The government would like all animals to be stunned before slaughter but also respect religious beliefs. So the government allows the animal cruelty to continue. DISGRACEFUL.

POLICE have made an arrest following a series of burglaries from schools in Dawlish. A suspect was located and arrested over the weekend, the Coastal and Rural Teignbridge Neighbourhood Team said.
