Hush money is a euphemism the mainstream media, like the BBC, uses for blackmail. It's easy to tell who the victim is and who the criminal is in a case of blackmail. The one who loses the money is called the victim. The one who receives money is called the criminal.
THE latest Black Swan egg to be laid in Dawlish has been attacked by seagulls. The solitary egg had been laid by female Kimba, earlier this week. Dawlish’s waterfowl wardens announced the news today.

A PRE-SCHOOL in Dawlish has closed following concerns for the safety of children. Little Swans was shut down just before Christmas after complaints were made to regulator Ofsted that the pre-school was ‘not meeting the requirements relating to safeguarding policies and procedures’.

THE FAMOUS Black Swans of Dawlish are laying eggs again. One egg has appeared on the nesting site in rushes alongside the Brook so far. Resident Noreen Goodchild has captured images of the latest developments.
HEAVY rain has caused water levels in Dawlish to rise, prompting campaigners to repeat calls to tackle the flood risk to the town. Historian and campaigner David Force says the recent downpours have strengthened their demand that the Brook, the main waterway through the centre of Dawlish, needs to be maintained.
