@b.o liking, I fail to follow your input, are you saying that countries freed from Nazism were not happy because part of the allies were British.? The e.u did not come into existence till years after the war (even then it was called the common market) so what has that to do with countries being freed from the Nazis.?

They should not have spent nearly £20 million on that knackered out of date newton abbot shopping centre. seems par for the course with local councils down here wasting money on fruitless projects.

As a 75-year-old who is 'shielding' atm, I'm with HuwMatthews2 on this one.

I have the same Lynne two cars have arrived and eight people piled out with cans of beer and bags of snacks a party me thinks. It needs to be made clear that anyone furloughed who does this work for whatever period of time won't (a) lose their furloughed money and (b) won't lose their job as this is what is being threatened at the moment.

A lot of the language is "died with Covid-19" not of. It is really difficult to get an accurate figure so they are using all cases where the patient had Covid-19 present. There are a lot of contradictions around at the moment on one hand Nurses are telling us not to wear surgical type masks and on the other hand they are telling us that they need them, but only give protection for a short while in a ward situation.  So my question is... why would they work for a short period 1 to 2 hours on a ward situation but not in Sainsburys?
