That's amazing, considering how many clutches they have lost so far this year. The females need a lot of calcium to produce the shells but somehow they've managed it. Well done them.

We rented this house for six very enjoyable months when we first came to Dawlish, in April 2000, before we bought a place of our own. Nice to see someone is still taking care of it. It must be one of the oldest houses in Dawlish.
@BOO HOO - I don't think so, but thanks for the thought.
Yes indeed, thanks for keeping this site going so well. And Happy New Year to all on here.
See the story below : https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c2k0x7k1dwko I can't get to the drop-in sessions that the story says will be held in the Council Chamber this (Wednesday) afternoon, but II thought some of you might like to know.
Thanks Lynne, knew I could count on you !
Network's latest newsletter says : We are currently reconstructing the seaward platform at Dawlish station, as well as building a new sea wall at Dawlish and preparing to install a rockfall shelter north of Parson's Tunnel, near Holcombe. We will be working around the clock on the following dates and times when the railway line is temporarily closed from 3am on Sat 5 Feb till 3am on Mon 7 ...
Thank you Lynne.
Nice to see them on the TV news yesterday, with their 'drivethru visiting' scene. Just another part of the 'new normal' ?
The red/pink at dawn yesterday was lovely as well. Thanks DEEDOODLE.
As a 75-year-old who is 'shielding' atm, I'm with HuwMatthews2 on this one.
I wouldn't have a problem with it but I haven't got a smartphone so I couldn't use it anyway. There must be a lot of people like me, who can't get traced.
Yes, lovely DEEDOODLE, thanks for posting.
I guess I'm late catching up with this, but for anyone who hasn't heard - Dawlish Minor Injuries Unit is closed while this is going on: they advise using N Abbot MIU instead.
Yes, it's certainly to do with the works on the seawall but I don't know exactly what.
Yet now, according to the TV news, local councils are busy taking these notices down, saying they have no right to be there. How much crazier is this country going to get ?
Hm, there does seem to be an HTML error in there but it didn't stop me reading it !
Just realised, my post above should have said MCA not RNLI. Apols to them.
Sorry, should have said, the link is to the combined timetable for 2, 22 and 222 from the Warren to Teignmouth and back.
I guess this means the 187 ? And I was told by one of their drivers they run two school buses as well. I don't know what the implications are of needing a PSV licence (maybe they have such a thing already ?).
What a weasel word 'misspoke' is.
Agree with Calamari, nice pics and Kestrels indeed.
I agree it looks unsightly atm, but this kind of pollarding is necessary to extend the tree's life. It will grow again !
Well, a Cross-Country train came through fine yesterday just before 11. And the sea didn't look particularly rough.
Very nice pics of the Warren there, DEEDOODLE, well done.
and about to start again ...
Dear oh dear oh dear. Couldn't happen to a nicer chap. (He went to my old school so I can say things like that.)
Yes, I could hear it, and I live on the West Cliff. Must have been hell for people who live up that end of town (unless they were at the party, of course).
DJ is right, of course, about withheld numbers. Even Barton Surgery's calls come up as that.
