A friend of mine was told, when trying to arrange her husband's funeral, that he could not be buried in the cemetery unless his funeral was going to be a Christian ceremony.

Anyone know if this is right, or not ?

I'm not asking out of idle curiosity; I have a reason for asking.

I went to a funeral a few months ago the commmittal took place at Dawlish Cemetery, the service of thanksgiving was at St Agatha"s Roman Catholic Church.
