Who was the councillor that according to Devon council engaged with the community? These clowns should be looking at why the bus lane coming into dawlish from smugglers side was filled in meaning that a bus stops then all the traffic behind it is stopped, possibly leading to drivers taking a chance through frustration by overtaking the stopped bus.Why do Teignbridge have the most allegedly inept councillors in the country?

The bus only stops for a minute or two at most (I used it regularly at all times). Responsible and law abiding drivers ahould not 'take a chance', but only overtake when safe to do so. The issue that some bad drivers may react badly because they are frustrated should not prevent safe traffic measures.

@VICKS You must be nieve if you think that all drivers are responsible and abiding the whole point of thIS post is the bus stoping and blocking the road is not  a safe traffic measure but exactly the opposite as drivers get frustrated not to mention the climate impact of cars sitting emitting gases. The simple resolution is to reinstate the pull in section of the road. Cannot think of any other down that when a bus stops the main road artery into a town is blocked.

1263 I did not say that all drivers are responsible and law abiding. I was just making a point that a bus stopping for about a minute is no excuse for bad driving.
