Exeter road was a nightmare this afternoon of course no different to any afternoon or morning. The sign flashing stated that roadworks were delayed due to cold weather, perhaps I can understand that. However this afternoon at 2:30 pm the sun was shining and nobody was working, perhaps it was too sunny!

Reading the paper this morning the Government have advised councils across the country that they can raise local council tax up to 6% as they have now realised that the police service along with other services which are truly underfunded. Anything is possible DEE but you have to admit the town is a mess. I walk my dogs and if i happen to forget poop bags I go back and get them, mind you there have been occaisions that i have forgot but gone back out to pick it up.

This swan was sitting there quite happily yesterday and to be found dead the next day seems a little suspicious to me.

I agree with all you say. In fact a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday there was a some sort of official gathering may have been the British Legion and put a flag up the pole. But the interesting thing was the was the Mayor along with other dignitaries holding a service with the drinking and drugs club sat there in the background.

I agree DEE. This is a town that has no Law and certainly no order. Smackheads and drunks just go about their daily business each and every day in public places with impunity. Calling 101 is, as you say in this country "not fit for purpose"

I haven't owned a dog for fifty years so i never took a great deal of notice of the amount of dog poop that is all over this town, on the lawn, on the pavements, and pretty much everywhere. Who would have guessed it. At least the word is out there now come to Dawlish and get stoned we have plenty of drugs down here. We can drink during the day and do it openly during the day even though it's prohibited as there is rarly any police around. And of course after 10pm they go of duty. This is the work of kids but you will never get to know who they are even if caught, and what would their punisment be, you guessed it a slap on the wrist and don't do it again. There names will never be disclosed. As I said in another post, parents do you know where your kids are. Most nights they are down here near the tourist office trying to set light to the foliage.

I"m curious does anybody in the town have to put up with ASB? And for any parents reading this do you know where your teenage kids are during the night time hours? The new protection order has had some effect with the druggies and dopeheads, but now it appears there is another issue with teenagers hanging out around the happy hut area.

I agree with what you say, but a squeaky wheel will get oil sooner or later. The email address's for the relevent contacts are listed in this post just keep sending email's or calling the 101 number the police will soon get the idea IF enough people call or send a message if you have problems in your area. Don't let Dawlish go down the toilet, I know some would say that it is already.

I'm afraid it's a culture thing not allowing you to speak not just with the doctors office but any so called customer service rep here in the UK.
