SoD, but as a Lib Dem representative, you'd naturally always back him over her wouldn't you? ;-)

That's something we agree on Elvis. Godammed Americanisms...!
One thing's for sure, nobody would want to be a clone of me! I would love to hear a recording of the above conversation with the police! "Hello officer, I wish to report a pseudonym for claiming that my pseudonym is not my only pseudonym and that I also have another pseudonym. I demand that you arrest that pseudonym now!" "If I may take some details please. Your name, first of all." "Which one?" ...
Have you checked the filter? You don't need to be technical to do that.
R.I.P. the poor man. Condolences to family and friends.
What a beautifully calm, peaceful and uneventful night it's been here in Dawlish. Oh how the Plymouth Press Pack must be disappointed...
David, why aren't Lib Dems in Westminster fighting this? A simple question.
Andylufc, yes they had their one holiday of the year during those two weeks! Back open now though - sorry lol!
Oh dear, Margaret doesn't get irony! She's far too important for that!
Thankfully it was a false alarm, it was an old car part! Cue puns about being exhausted, etc.
The station planters look much better now. Thank you to those who did the work.
Kaz, you've not heard the end of thi
Clive doesn't want money spending on the A303 because it's a route between London and Exeter. If it was a route to Plymouth then he wouldn't mention it...
Hopefully they'll install bins as part of the finishing touches that are due early next year. Though I'd hope that it's not too much of a hardship for dog owners to carry their poo bags for a mile or so.
Totally agree. In recent years, cygnets have been put into the pen for the own protection - with mum and/or dad nearby. I'm sure that once the swans begin to breed (in a couple of Springs time?) then the warden will do everything he can to look after them.
A vested interest also helps. Your first posts on Dawlish.com were negative towards a rival farmland owner, yet here you are promoting Farmer Weeks' interests. That's just an observation on my part and makes little difference to the general principle at play here.
Allegedly. If found guilty, then the culprits obviously aren't 'honest lawabiding UK citizens' as you put it. Can't beat a good old-fashioned knee-jerk reaction though from certain people (not you Carer).
it must have been the Christmas Market on the Strand that I saw advertised.
My soul was uplifted this afternoon when I read that the people of Dawlish, the Town Council, and local businesses and organisations had in total raised £26,591.69 for this fund. I'm sure that all 44 claimants are grateful for our generosity.
Old Fart. Thanks for that really constructive suggestion. I don't know why I didn't think of it before! Nothing libelous here because nothing illegal has been done or suggested has been done. Though you might want to take a screenshot just in case...
Brooklyn, that's because they're as thick as two short planks. Excuse my language, but I'm still fuming. Though you did bring a smile to my face with your grammer. x
That's a great video.
And that, dear Burneside, says far more about you than it does it about me. Dont forget to get your family to press Agree...
http://www.cliveemson.co.uk/listing_view.asp?Lot=65&Auc=173 The map on this link indicates land opposite Elm Grove Road, though I suspect that it is the land near Coastguards.
Whilst I'm sure that "willsmith" is on the wind up, just for the record though the Exe Trail is a shared user route. I.e. for cyclists and pedestrians alike.
Not to mention the dangerous allergic reactions caused by fake perfumes, and the risk of electrocution caused by fake electronic goods. There's no such thing as a victimless crime, and so I'm therefore pleased that these two criminals have been stopped from ripping off consumers with rubbish imitations.
It's a shame that the paper doesn't check the facts. No trains were cancelled this morning. Waves were not crashing into trains - spray was. This is the same as every winter - no need for scaremongering.
As if the country isn't already laughing enough at Dawlish because of this non-story, we now make a statement akin to putting Tigger on the naughty step! Ms Sleeman should ask her superior officer to let her go on a media awareness course before she next publishes nonsense like this!
Thanks for your, ahem, "constructive" comment Old Fart... It brought a smile to my face when I saw that you didn't answer mine and Lynne's question on the migration thread.
No Old Fart, I've merely asked for clarification on a point you raised followed by a sensible question to you - on a thread that I started. If you're unable or unwilling to answer the request and/or question, then just say so, instead of turning the thread into a personal attack on me. Ironically, Lynne raised a similar question to mine...
Hopefully you'll be pleased to learn that the off-season free parking on a Sunday has started again in Dawlish. Please remember that this applies to TDC car parks only - and therefore not to on-street parking.
Depending on location, I'd guess at £725 pcm.
It's not my fault that you've got an inferiority complex! Seriously though, as I said, I was merely reading the notice and sharing the information for those who might have been misled by your original post. Thanks for your subsequent non-constructive posts though - and I bet you're pleased to get so many replies to one of your posts for a change... I too hope that groynes are put in place in ...
However the Network Rail report states that an alternative route would not only be ridiculously expensive and present all sorts of logistical nightmares due to, ironically, floodplains, but would also increase the journey times to Plymouth and beyond anyway! Note before you try to shoot me down, it's their report, not mine. Wondering you are so right about the ridiculous lack of rolling stock - ...
If we're talking statues, then make sure you give Mike Nance a call...
So does this anarchic news mean that Cameron won't mind me refusing to pay my Bedroom Tax?? Brilliant!
Old Fart, if you're suggesting that I'm in any way envious of Melvyn, think again. I'm merely trying to work out why he's so bitter? Though maybe on reflection I'm doing him an injustice and it's the paper that's turned it into an anti-BBC rant. So, what next? Calls for the return of Love Thy Neighbour? Or Mind Your Language?
