Fire Control recieved several calls from Ambulance control and members of the public stating that a mobile platform vehicle, also commonly known as a "cherry picker" had overturned on Church street, Dawlish trapping its occupant inside of the platform cage.

 

One male was eventually released from the cage with leg injuries using hydraulic cutting and lifting equipment and small tools. This cage had been at full height when the vehicle overturned (34 metres height) Casualty was then conveyed to hospital by land ambulance.
