I remember when a local farmer used to clear the brook with a digger and tractor and trailer, the gravel was then tipped on the beach and the tide took care of it. I also remember that every part of the brook was full of fish some where at least three or four pounds and as a very keen fly fisherman i would watch them for ages very interesting trout behaviour.
In todays gazette quotes from wriggley " the sones and rocks washed down may be contaminated,.????? With what you may ask and " we have to protect the fish stocks" in the same article it mentions the low stock of trout, why do you think the cause of this could be??? This guy has no intention of doing anything for dawlish and his cronies the same saying how can we smarten up the brook . Talk about ...
A SOFA has taken up residence in Dawlish this morning as part of an initiative to engage with residents. The snug, blow-up sofa was launched in Newton Abbot and is now moving around the district to enable anyone, from armchair critics to passers-by, to take a seat and chat to council staff and advice specialists on a range of issues.
