A POIGNANT service in Dawlish earlier this morning (Monday, February 24) marked the third anniversary of the start of the war in Ukraine. The Ukrainian flag flew proudly from the Manor House as locals gathered with Ukrainians who have settled in the area scene hostilities began in their homeland.
As this is a Discussion post i am only putting it out there to let other shoppers know. If they still want to shop there then thats fine, only highlighting the facts. The same goes for me if i want to still shop there but avoid mentioned products above thats up to me, however i note you have changed tact to try and suggest moaning as you realise what a idiot you have been.
So WHY do you shop there, if all you can do is moan about them? The simple thing to do is shop elsewhere, or is that too difficult for you to think of?
As to profiteering, sainsburys had o% alcohol cider on at £1.50 bottle same as Lidl. They then upped it to £2 per bottle a rise of 33% where lidl keep it at £1.50. Perhaps you think they were selling at a loss and a 33% mark up is fine for the company that made over a billion in profit.
Find it ironic that teignbridge council is represented when they continue to raise rates which is one of the root causes of cost of iiving issues.....
Seems like the only option is to never go surfing after heavy rain as water companies and politicans dont give a "sh*t "about this, only profits to shareholders matter.
I didnt insinuate that they removed ALL shiraz and merlot wines only in your head would you think a supermarket would do that...
Yes, the labels on the shelves showing the PRICE and particular BRAND of the of those low cost wines. Obviously they stocked other Merlot and Shiraz brands at higher prices, so to answer your question it looks like you are...........
Oh dear 1263. You seem to forget what YOU wrote. You stated that they (Sainsbury's) even removed the labels, insinuating that they were not stocking said products again. That is what educated people would have read into. So who is the idiot now? Also, as for 'profiteering', are supermarkets supposed to sell goods at a loss? You obviously seem to think so.
@calamari, Yes they have a full complement of merlot and shiraz. The issue is the higher price for these items. Another idiot who texts without reading what the isaue ia.
