A very cold December 1st. Wonder who is brave enough to camp?

According to the Dawlish Gazette:    Beyond the town centre, there are a number of options for taking the route via The Lawn and out of Dawlish. Ultimately, the long term plan is for this route to join up with the trail at Teignmouth , Bishopsteignton and Newton Abbot.

There is a sign at the bottom of the Charlton steps, but none at the bottom of the Rockstone steps so if you approach the beach via those steps you would be oblivious to the warnings. I did see a cyclist riding on the wall towards Dawlish from the Warren so thought maybe  no signs at the Warren, as i past Red Rock i saw this one.

Toilets are now closed at Sandy Lane car park. Police were called to the Sports Club last night because they caused trouble, the club will stay closed until they have been removed.

Talks are being held every Saturday and Sunday from 2pm for an hour with the waterfowl warden at the aviary.

I phoned Barton Surgery at 8.50am and had a very rude receptionist not even giving me a chance to speak. Ok perhaps there were no appointments left but to be told that every time you tried to speak is not acceptable.

Boat Cove - Dawlish Coastguard were called to the area of Boat Cove in Dawlish this evening around 9pm to a report of people in the water. On attendance 3 males were found in the sea. They had attempted to take a small boat out to Shell Cove during the hours of darkness when the boat they were in started to take on water and sink. All 3 were rescued by Coastguard volunteers and taken safely back ...

When Michael Clayson was on Dawlish Council he was brilliant at getting things done. He was the one who got the seats replaced on the green behind the Rockstone Flats and the ones overlooking the sea also the ones opposite the Charlton Flats. He was very approachable and nothing was too much trouble.

Good to see the Farmers Market again on The Piazza. It will be there on the second Saturday of the month 10am-2pm for the next three months.
