I see some spray painted letters and markings have appeared on the road by the bends - please please please tell me they wouldn't be stupid enough to start digging up that bit of road now, just when we might finally get the scaffolding cleared!

scaffolding seemed to be coming down when I drove past earlier

Differing experiences at Torbay - on the one hand they saved my Dad's life because one of the doctors recognised the slightly unusual thinig he had wrong with him and got treatment sorted so quickly that he was saved from brain damage and possible death, so obviously very grateful to them for that.  But then we had a time when my son got concussion and by the time they saw him in A&E he had waited ...

Excellent to see another local independent store opening, and something a bit different too.  Dawlish has some fantastic independent businesses.  Wish them every success.

that makes a nice change from usual then

It is absolutely disgusting how long this is taking and that they are being allowed to disrupt the traffic flow into Dawlish for this long.  Days seem to go by with no-one working there and we have had plenty of customers tell us that they have been put off visiting our business in Dawlish from Teignmouth because of all the road holdups so it is not helping the local economy one bit and yet there ...

Congratulations to Dawlish Community College for being named as winners of the best secondary school in the South West in the 2013 Pupil Premium Awards.

The sad fact of the matter is that private landlords in some instances have become greedy.  They are fully aware of the maximum HB that can be given for their property so they set the rent accordingly.  It has taken a change to how benefits are paid for anything to be done about this and hopefully now that people are going to have a maximum weekly amount they can receive, landlords will realise ...

@user4549  It is unrealistic to presume that most deliveries will have taken place by 9am.  You only have to have a quick look at most town centres to see the number of deliveries that take place throughout the day.  Having loading only bays even for the morning will assist those businesses that do need deliveries during the day - but I bet that (as seems to be the case anyway) most people will ...
