KEEPING Dawlish ‘cool’ was the theme of this year’s Turn The Tide festival. Held at Dawlish Community College while work is being completed in the town centre, the festival was an opportunity to celebrate the coast, community and environment.

As the Party has been taken over by an extreme religion and crackpots , and have no green policies, then I would avoid at all costs. The Monster Raving Looney Party are more sane.

The Lib Dums have literally run Dawlish into the ground. Most of that ground is now mounds in the Brook. Surely people won't fall for their crap again.

VOLUNTEERS at Dawlish Museum are gearing up for this season’s opening which will feature the 30th anniversary of Dawlish footballers winning at Wembley. Despite the building being covered in scaffolding, the museum will be open as usual from June 3.

POLICE focused on engagement and education during a large gathering of young people at Dawlish Warren beach. A large number of alcohol seizures were made by police at Friday’s (May 22) gathering, which saw young people from across South Devon attend.

DAWLISH Marina Bowling Club held their annual taster day on Sunday, May 10, in the sunshine. They had a fantastic response with 23 people through the door and a definite 16 for coaching with some more possibles.

Five beaches across Teignbridge have been recognised among the country’s best after receiving prestigious Blue Flag and Seaside Awards for summer 2026. The council also thanked local authorities and councils that helped fund the applications, including Dawlish Town Council, Teignmouth Town Council and Shaldon Parish Council.

FIVE beaches in Teignbridge have been recognised for their quality in the prestigious Blue Flag and Seaside Awards for summer 2026. Dawlish Warren achieved the highest award with the internationally recognised Blue Flag Award while Dawlish Town beach, Coryton Cove, Teignmouth and Ness Cove were all awarded the coveted Seaside Award.

PUFFINS nursery in Dawlish has celebrated its first birthday. The nursery, part of the Puffins of Exeter group, was chosen by Devon County Council to provide desperately needed places for young children in the town.

TEIGNBRIDGE Slimming World members have raised around £10,000 for Cancer Research UK by donating clothes that no longer fit. Slimming World Consultant Claire Hannaford, who runs the Dawlish groups, says the event is both a celebration of members’ achievements and a meaningful way to support vital research.
