Laura and Luke Woodward were walking their dogs on Dawlish beach when they first saw a number of jellyfish washed up. Then they spotted the baby shark struggling in the shallows and went to help it back out to sea.

A two-year-old child is receiving specialist care after being found on their own in Dawlish Warren on Saturday morning. A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "Enquiries are ongoing to establish when the child can be returned to their parents.

Officers are investigating an incident which happened at around 11.30pm at the Landsdowne Pub, in Park Road, on Thursday 2 May.
