The population of Syria is 46,000? Well I never! >People have legitimate concerns over the Teignbridge Local Plan. >Somehow the fault of immigrants.

How dare they be giving great publicity to Dawlish today! They don’t even pay road tax for crying out loud!!
Your off button to work...
@burneside - i should have included an irony alert. @ZIGGY - thanks for providing the clarification for those that were unaware of the law. it’s also legal, obviously, to cycle on a shared use footpath.
I hope that the top flat has a watchtower...
The former Mare & Foal Sanctuary charity shop. £12K rent a year plus at least £3.3K business rates.
This is excellent! As someone who wears my Dementia Friend badge with pride, I believe that Sefton Hall should be applauded for this. I would also heartily recommend learning more about how being a Dementia Friend can make a real difference.
Excellent news and a long-overdue dose of common sense on this subject.
Deedoodle/purrrrrfect/etc was referring to me, “with prejudice” it would seem. He doesn’t like the fact that I don’t agree with his many repetitive posts on here. He also claimed to be an ex-policeman, which has been exposed as being a lie.
Calamari has clearly misread majorp’s comment. Yes, I’m sticking up for you majorp!!
Not the first storm and definitely not the last. However the level is far higher than it was pre-scheme. And, most importantly, the spit hasn’t been breached. The purpose of the scheme was a practical one rather than an aesthetic one.
Quite right Shytalk. And the video that accompanies the article shows that there’s actually still loads more sand on there than their used to be pre-scheme. Looks like the new groynes have done a good job and stood up to the ferocious conditions.
Haha! I’m not wound up by little attention-seeking men like “Fred Bassett” lol. I just find it funny that the same old posters who moan about freedom of speech are the first to gather their troops to try to shut down those that they disagree with. All I ask for is evidence. All they provide is nonsense.
Can’t remember that one. Thanks for answering.
Typical work ethic in this country? Utter nonsense! And an insult to those of us (the vast majority) that work bloody hard in all weather conditions.
Fingers crossed that Dawlish parkrun gets the go ahead.
Looks like they’ve got away with it as well. Disgusting.
Terrorists of every race, colour and creed do.
So, you don’t know. Fair enough. I’ll ask Karen next time I see her. Do you happen to know when Poundland opens?
Seems like the usual suspects are wrong yet again. Teignbridge councillors have rejected the request from the external body.
Whilst it would be lovely to have them back, £10K+ is a heck of a lot of money. Let’s hope that they’re storm-proof.
Plod isn’t wrong. Just because you say that he/she is wrong, doesn’t mean that is so. Another lie from you. I don't get charged for texts that tell me that my parking period is almost complete. Another lie from you. Your question re ANPR has already been answered by Plod. Another lie from you. I fear for your mental health, as you’re clearly not all there. Therefore, after this post I ...
So, it’s not just our side of the water that has dinosaur-related play park news: A dinosaur-themed park , complete with swings, slides, roundabouts and a pterodactyl nest to climb in and around is set to come to Exmouth seafront. East Devon District Council has announced they are moving ahead with delivering new attractions and entertainment on Exmouth’s sea front, while longer term ...
Hi majorp, I thought that readers would like to see the whole story. I’m sorry that you think that’s not allowed on here. One sentence was missed off the end of the article you pasted from: “This data also covers personal devices used when logged on to Parliament's guest Wi-Fi.”
Paul, let’s see if Trump does sue the author and the ‘real news’ outlets then. I bet he doesn’t! What does Burneside think that the BBC’s agenda is re. Trump? There’s so much more they could report about him that they don’t.
Great photos Ziggy. Happy New Year to you too.
Which other traditions Calamari?
It might have been an idea to talk to the organisers of the similar events In Teignmouth and Exmouth.
I hope that Peter Harry and Martin Dix (not Dicks) made their peace before the latters sad passing. What a double act they were. Welcome back Leatash, hope you had a good break.
Margaret Swift, the traffic that early on a Saturday is negligible. 20 to 25 coaches are hardly going to make much of a difference. I wonder if the people of Okehampton moaned as much as you lot when this fantastic event was held there this year???
It was interesting to read in this weeks Gazette that nearly 1500 Dawlish residents are aged 75 or over. That’s more than 10% of the towns population.
Did you post the above on Eyes of Dawlish?
Does anyone on here know if there have been any collisions on that short stretch since the road was modified?
It was certainly imaginative.
I totally agree with 1263. I only half agree with majorp.
Not being a serial complainer, I can only go by my single experience with them, and that was faultless in terms of communication, timeliness and execution. Bridleway 3 was cleared within a fortnight of me highlighting the issue - in my opinion you can’t say fairer than that.
