and for those who did but wanted a nice reminder - thanks Lynne

I know Cassandra, think I am going to have to sprout wings and fly to work......
Agree with Lynne, great poem Neil, so true, but brings a smile too
Yeah as BrazilNut said the churches do them, I know of other churches too, I know St Gregory's do them and also the schools do them. Not sure if they have already been despatched now though Lynne? You could also try the Open Daw at the Methodist, they may be able to help.
I'm on Vodafone and have not had a problem at all - I know 3 can be very unreliable. Hope it all gets resolved soon.
yeah, I was really sorry to hear this - another one gone, and such a great place, great food, service, etc. I have Never known Dawlish as desolate as this in 45 years since I've been here.
I understand what people are saying about uncomfortable viewing, however, I do believe that FB is almost a part of people's lives now and it seems to me that the information is direct from the the 'horse's mouths' so to speak on there - because you can see the various Counsellors' comments and profile, so know its no-one putting words into their mouth, as some papers may do, so surely that must be ...
Fotterson, why do you keep on being so negative about Dawlish, and what is with the interest if you don't plan on visiting again..... I have lived here all my life and your post about the 'nightlife' bears no substance. The nightlife now is just the same as it was in the 80's, if not better. We have some amazing local bands playing in lots of venues around town. Yes, Dawlish needs a hand in ...
I have lived in Dawlish for all my life and I am Not saying that gives me anymore right than anyone else here, but I have seen Dawlish change and I do believe I Know Dawlish. My parents grew up in Dawlish and they were proud to live here and they passed that onto me too. So, whenever, someone may come on holiday and then start moaning and asking all sorts of questions, I suppose its natural to ...
And A Very Happy, Healthy New Year to You and fellow posters. Love the pic!!! Know how he feels....
Good point made Wriggler, it seems we have dipped into a state where some people no longer respect anything or anybody, not saying the majority by far, but, we do not punish sufficiently. Why not let these people actually do the work in Dawlish, why shield them and send them to remote places. Make them visible like Nelson said, maybe only then they may grow a conscience. I feel sorry for the ...
Merry Christmas to you too and all on here. Here's to that positive 2012
Good one Lynne - yeah, I know we have lost Woolworths, but check out Presents, its great for that different gift and the cards are by far the best in the area. And personalised Thornton's chocs, great idea. There are other shops too on the Strand well worth checking out and Boots does that 3 for 2 offer. I know we can't get everything we need here, but we can get some things. Thanks Lynne for ...
I have no desire to click on your link sorry
Yes I read it, as I do every week, and it appears in the same place it always has been......
What was the point of that... If you dislike Dawlish so Much. Why are you on here? Dawlish has a lot to offer, in so many ways, we are Lucky to live here - I assume you don't, but if You do, and feel like that, perhaps its time for a change?
Very well said J Warrener - agree with every single word.
Yeah, each to their own, but good to be able to respect others' opinions too. Hope whatever decision is made that Dawlish is able to thrive and begin to rise from the tatters its currently in.......
J Warrener it seems to me you are as bad as them, you are accusing people without proper facts, now Jools and Yes you accused me, perhaps you should stop and realise, other people Do have opinions, and just because they state them does not mean they are those people. How would you feel?
i mean we have waited long enough for decisive decisions, for the good of Dawlish and they haven't been made. Its a hard battle to win....
Im on TPS but still get the calls from abroad, it doesn't seem to cover that, and so many call centres are now based abroad, I always know its early evening and the 'private number'. What gets to me is if you do answer it and say you're not interested, they just hang up - rude if you ask me.
I didn't realise there was a time limit? Thought you could reply to posts, didn't realise you Had to start threads within a month? How long have you been a member and how Many threads have you started?
Glad to hear it, Dawlish is a special place, we just need to keep it special. Things have changed over the recent years and we need to make sure we are not lost as a town and can thrive. Nothing better than a good walk along the sea wall, makes you realise how lucky we are to live in such a special place, which at times we take for granted.
lol Dallas!!! Priceless eh - uhh, perhaps I need to check the mirror, what do you look like again?
You are the one that flames Rainbow, if you can't take it dont dish it out - oh and get your facts right, I didnt join last night....
exactly no bullying Lyn, but i dont like the inference to it, not from you by the way, bullying is the worst form of abuse, so lets all be together, life is too short.....
Yes unfortunately Lynne, a particular person looks intent on destroying this site, i think ignore and scroll are the best options. Here's to moving on and showing others what a very special place Dawlish is and, with the help of locals, good planning, etc, will move on and start once again to flourish. The words I hear so often from friends on holiday, etc, is what a pretty town Dawlish is. We ...
So sorry to hear that - my heart goes out to you. To lose a pet is like losing a member of the family. Surely, even if it wasn't safe to stop on the main road, they could have pulled in. Some people beggar belief, but I just hope they are the minority.
That would be me then, seeing as I have lived here all my life. What is your problem? Just because some people move to Dawlish, does Not mean they are not worthy of an opinion on how our town progresses or suchlike. My family is Dawlish through and through, however, I welcome others and their opinions. Its people like you that do my head in....
