I've seen that the former Salvation Army building has just gone on the market for a paltry £165,000. I know that this is a bone of contention round here and I don't want to start a row but i'm disappointed that it's for sale for the same price that it was bought for. Us poor council taxpayers will end up out of pocket due to the fact that it will no doubt be sold for less, plus the fact that conveyancing charges will have to be paid. What a sorry state of affairs. I hope it sells quickly and that all proceeds are reinvested in improving the Manor House and other genuine local amenities. Rant over.

Yeah we wish, sorry but I think the council have made their stand.. Nothing will be put back into the community, its all about money and we are lagging behind unfortunately... It is a sorry state of affairs and it isn't going to change in my opinion - i mean they have had enough chances

Yes it's all very disappointing. What do you mean though about the council making their stand? I'm afraid I'm not all that clued up.

i mean we have waited long enough for decisive decisions, for the good of Dawlish and they haven't been made. Its a hard battle to win....

Fair enough. Maybe a new council would help?
