Home now, and letter states "..... at times that cause least disruption"
Looks like my relaxing days & quiet nights are over. I'm not at home to confirm, but am told letters have been received to say work on the new railway bridge starts on Sept 15, with a due date of 11 Nov. Work will be undertaken Mon - Fri, 07.30 - 17.50 and overnight on the weekends 23.55 - 08.35 So if you see me with dark bags under my eyes it's NOT self inflicted ;-) Be great to see ...
Well it was a lovely sight to watch whatever it was :-)
I always found the most successful parades we had in NZ (usually Xmas ones, cos its summertime there) were the ones scheduled after other local ones. As the other towns often entered there floats in other town's parades. As seemed to happen last Friday. Food for thought for the committee?
Come on Dawlish let's get cooking & see you on TV !!
@Don Pearson - cheers don. always great to get nice feedback. well, just nice to know someone is reading the articles. hope it helped. have a lovely monday!
Cheers. Both very interesting. Technology, got to love it! Turns out the flotilla was some kind of race, heading towards Teignmouth
5.30pm and I can see boats for Africa out of my window? Anyone know what's going on? Or am I just having D-Day flashbacks again?;-)
