End of the day it's all about 'envy'..what would anyone do if they win the lottery? At least the people who holiday in the second homes support local business.

Simple ..move away.

Empty Shops

Think carefully, business rates, electric etc and landlord charges will probably total around £15,000 pa £285 per week to pay out.. Also remember people in Dawlish just sit back and love to see a new business fail. You will be ok if you can sell enough to the holiday trade. Could you sell over the internet?.. imagine how much you can save! If you really still want a shop you would probably do ...

Put the market in the Strand and stop the traffic that day.. then it will get noticed. Meanwhile the traders 'mark time' for the holiday trade.

Good news..well done. Shame some prefer negativity postings.

Nice idea, but I see it's not listed..Exmouth is the nearest new store. http://www.fraserburghherald.co.uk/fraserburghnews/Iceland-buy-Broch-Woolies39-store.4876370.jp

For me Asda is the best I have my shop delivered.. good prices, nice delivery staff. I am quite surprised really any supermarket would want to open near Dawlish, perhaps they are not aware of the constant negativity, but shopping habits dicatate sales will be from a 12 miles radius, people will always go away from their doorstep. Gather people in Newton go to Torquay etc.
