new taxis firm
there is a new taxis firm that has started in dawlish i for one will not be using them again i thought i would give them a try and to my dissappointment i ordered a taxis one friday night to pick me and my daughter up from teignmouth to dawlish and was told that it would be there in 15 mins but 45 mins later we were still waiting in the rain and cold without a phone call to say they would be late which would of been the curtious thing to do i then had to ring my regular taxis firm who came stright away without any trouble i then rang the new firm and was told they was to busy to come and get us.they might offer a cheap service but i personally would rather pay the extra and know my taxis is going to turn up,
I use the bus, have never used a Taxi as no need..the bus is houry at night, plenty of places have no buses after 6pm! ..the last bus Teignmouth-Dawlish is at 1135pm ..also from Exeter.
Last train Teignmouth-Dawlish is at Midnight 0009.
yes buses are fine and trains but what if god forbid i had booked the taxi to pick my daughter up on her own and they had left her stranded like that anything could of happened to her,i feel personally a taxi is a safer option late at night,it just annoys me that this firm is just not bothered who they let down or upset a phone call to say they would b late would of been a nice gesture and not to be told they too busy to pick us up.
Parental responsibility appears to be the furthest from your mind.
If I could not guarantee the safe return of my daughter, she would not be going anywhere on her own. I would make other arrangements and explain to her the problems that could arise if she went on her own.
fact no 1,i did make sure myself and my daughter could get home by booking in advanced you do not expect taxi who have to be governed by laws to take your money and then not turn up,
fact 2 this firm is as i said not reliable and im just warning people that they might think twice about booking with them.
and as far as im concerned these people shouldnt be running a taxi service
Asked how much to Exeter.... £50 was the reply. I said I want to hire it not buy it... Naff off was next comment...
do you ever take a breather? You've had one let down from this firm. I could tell you far worse about Dawlish Taxis including over- charging, dangerous driving, crap cars, ignorant drivers and late arrivals. DT have competition at last.
