Marne Taxis Dawlish Warning!
Ok so some of you have had good experiances of Marne Taxis some not so good.
I just want to make everyone aware of one thing!
Yes there cheaper! but be warned on at least two occasions these cars have taken more people then they are licenced for taking 7 people to Torquay in a 6 seater taxi is ilegal and should there be an acident he would not be insured again he took 8 people in a 6 plated taxi to Teignmouth again invalidating his insurance.
PLEASE PLEASE BE AWARE ANY TAXI CARRYING MORE THEN ITS PLATED CARRIGE WILL NOT BE INSURED!
At the end of the day its your choice who you use but please be aware of this serrious neglect of customer care should you take a taxi!

Not at all the best of luck to MARNE TAXIS in running his business I just want people to be fully aware that any TAXI FIRM Anywhere that is taking more people then it is licenced to do so will fall short of its insurance and you will not be covered should you be riding with them.
Another lie to add to the ones before. When will you learn to fight fire with fire? Drop your prices to the same as mine, (or lower), that's how you win customers. (It's called COMPETITION). For a change, stop taking the Community to the cleaners, give them WHAT THEY WANT, not WHAT YOU!!!!!!! WANT. Greedy, Greedy, Greedy. As for the overloading lie, I know a certain female has been going round trying to get people to sign a complaint that my Taxis are overloading. A LIE. To answer a call for more passengers in 1 Taxi, I have bought a new 8 Seater Taxi and don't be surprised to see MORE MARNE TAXI 8 SEATERS around. I have had loads of abuse and nastiness from the Taxi Fraternity in Dawlish but guess what, I'm still here. They say:
1. I sexually harass females. (Anon sent a letter to TDC who laughed it away.)
2. I have gone out of business. (4 Taxis now instead of 1. Figure it out)
3. I am not insured. (As no-one gets a plate without insurance, Lies)
4. Overloading. (Really getting to some people, aren't I?)
5. I don't take passengers to Dawlish Sands on the meter via Cofton Holiday Park. (You know who you are, SHAME ON YOU.)
6. Mr Taxi Firm Owner, I do not have a sign in MY WINDOW extolling my Firm's ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY to Abuse to my Employees, yet ignore a letter regarding your Employees abuse to me. A couple passing by were disgusted by the comments and language of my elder and BETTER???? and the signs of one of your drivers to me.
7. None of my taxis have had wheels or doors fall off, and I clean my taxis regularly, inside and out. (Nice comments from customers about this, but you should hear what they say about your Firm)
8. All Taxis have to carry First Aid Kits so don't make out you are the only ones doing so. It applies to Tax, Insurance, Public Liability, Fire Extinguishers, etc..
9. When I park a taxi on a Taxi Rank, I stay in the cab AS I AM SUPPOSED TO.
10. Don't park Private Hire vehicles on Taxi Ranks, it's against regulations.
I KNOW I HAVE GONE ON AND ON BUT IT'S ABOUT TIME I STARTED FIGHTING BACK. HANG ON, I ALREADY AM FIGHTING BACK, EVERY TIME I GO TO THE BANK TO DEPOSIT MY TAKINGS. AREN'T THE DAWLISH PEOPLE LOVELY, THEY KEEP GIVING ME MONEY ON A DAILY BASIS.

Well Mr Marne taxi name and shame! Your the one saying name yourselves and stand up and say who you are yet you hide and dont say who these firms are? (Not that it take a genuis to work it out!)
I coudlnt agree with you more tho everyone carrys a first aid kit its part of the conditons and your right all veichles are inspected once a year thank you for making everyone aware of the licening laws good on you.
In regards to veichle damage look at the state of your veichle and also Dawlish taxis your euro bus is lovely and clean and tidy shame about the grandis properbly caused by one of your dirvers when you constantly mount the kerb in a rush. Dawlish taxis is there any that dont have dents in them? again its the drivers that cause this! Bad drivers rushing to fast how untidy it looks please dont consider this a personal attack cause I will name and shame all the firms that have shoody veichles and do not operate to the correct regulations
It's good to have the facts instead of a biased view of the taxi firms !
Marne taxis are very quiet about the latest turn of events - how are you going to cover 24/7 now ?? Oh Keep it in the family !!!
Whoever you are, if you aren't aware of all the facts, and you aren't, don't try and second guess. Which taxi firm do you drive for? As for 24/7 don't worry, we'll be where we are called any time of the day or night.
Well Basil, I stand up and give my name. It's up to everyone else to do the same. The reason they don't is that they are lieing and could leave themselves open to other actions. Have you never had an accident? takes a while for insurance companies to move etc. Yes the Grandis looks the worse for wear, but that's cosmetic and will change next week. I honestly think all you "knockers" out there should get a life. I have, and believe me, life after Dawlish Taxis is wonderful.

Thank You for your kind regards in starting my business? (lol) As for overloading, I have seen it happen, by someone whom you probably work with. Keep trying all you "knockers". It's fuel for me. I thrive on you lot moaning while I am driving and earning. What a sad lot you really are.

ok mr marne taxis, you say that you never over crowd your taxis, well i know for a fact you have, as you had my daughter in your 7 seater taxi, and you were definatley over loaded i know this as two of the younger children had to sit on one anothers laps, they were toddlers,if i had know at the time i would of done something earlier but only found out myself the other day. I have spoken to my friend who was looking after my daughter and she has confirmed it as the truth, this has been submitted to hayley at teignbridge council as of yesterday, i am all for naming and shaming and for competition but only when it is fair, and not putting others at risk which is from my experiance happening with you.
But at the end of the day you can continue overloading your vehicles, but people will make there own minds up, not forgetting it is actually illegal!
Why do you assume that I am a taxi driver ? You seem to think that it is only 'rival' firms that are complaining
And no you have not been available 24/7
MARNE, I have never read so much illiterate nonsense in my life. I think you need to start conducting your business in a more professional manner if you are to make it a success! You would never of had any of this from Mr Vowden or Mr Riddler and Mr Partridge.
I used MArne Taxi's last night and found the service to be impeccable. The driver was on time and courteous, the vehicle was clean and comfortable, and I'll definitely be using them next time.
haveyou been the victim of vandalism Mr. McCabe, just seen one of our taxis with the back window gone, i just wondered in view of all the comments on here.
i can answer that for you i dont know who was driving but they reversed into the post at the mount pleasant inn in dawlish warren,says it all really dosnt it

To strike a balance, I have had several occasions where dawlish taxi's have pulled up in front of me without even indicating, mounted the kerb in old town street and cut a corner so dramatically, they almost clipped my wing! Let he who is without sin...
