Doesn't all this show just how much we need to be as self sufficient as we possibly can be? An increase in UK based food production (ie farming) and energy production come immediately to mind. All those necessary things that we import from abroad could be cut off. What then?

Well, as he's a Lib Dem and that's their colour I'm not surprised he wears the colour of his party. I've seen plenty of Tories wearing blue when they're out and about on political business. And yes, I guess he would be there given that he is Dawlish's County Councillor and Manor Farm, owned by the County Council, is in the parish of Dawlish.
@Lindapetherick Any further info on this? I understand from TDC that they have 14 beach huts at Dawlish Warren, 11 of which are rented out on a yearly basis and that they have 24 beach huts at Coryton Cove, 21 of which are rented out on a yearly basis. I've also now got (via a FOI) the annual increase in rental charges for the past 5 years.
