Today, Sunday, is the final day covered by the Amber Warning of Extreme Heat and now a third Yellow Warning of thunderstorms has been issued.

A Dawlish beach goer has told of the moment they nearly 'jumped out of their skin' as an enormous military helicopter rumbled over the beach. The large aircraft was pictured at around 4pm, however it is not clear which model of helicopter it is.

A MOTHER has spoken of the horror of trying to comfort her daughter as she lost her baby in crowded waiting rooms full of sick and injured people desperate for help. Jody, from Dawlish, said: ‘The medical staff were fantastic throughout and under terrible pressure.’

A person has been taken to hospital following a "diving incident" off the coast of Dawlish earlier yesterday evening (July 27). Multiple emergency service crews attended the incident at around 6pm this evening

AN angry son who pushed his wheelchair-bound father under a bus after three days of family squabbles has been sent to a Dawlish mental health hospital.
